The Death Knight

The very first World of Warcraft Hero Class is here! The Death Knight is a character unlike anything we have seen. As long as you have 1 level 55 character on any realm, you can create a new Death Knight character. You may only have 1 Death Knight per realm, but if you unlock it, you can create one on every realm if you like. Test out different specs and spells, have some fun!

The Death Knight starting area is off of the Plaguelands at the Scarlet Enclave.
Inside the Scarlet Enclave is Ebon Hold, your original home. Death Knights will start off with a set of Aucherus Gear, they are plate wearers and use swords, axes and/or maces.

Runeforging

Through the ability of Runeforging Death Kights can attach runes to thier weapons to make them more powerful. Ebon Hold and The Shadow Vault in Icecrown have a special runeforge that allows the Death Knight to attach these runes to their weapons. Ebon Hold and The Shadow Vault in Icecrown are the only places (for now) to attach and change these runes.
