Wrath of the Lich King offers a different approach to raids and instanced content than we have seen before. All players should benefit from these changes.

For all 5-man instances, the attunement and keying restrictions have been removed and there will no longer be faction requirements as before. All 5-mans will have a regular version and a Heroic version. Heroic versions will have different loot than normal versions do.

To benefit all Warcraft players, all end game content will now be more accessible. Raid instances will have 10-man and 25-man versions. The 10-man instance loot will not be as good as the 25-man instance but it will still allow players who may not have been able to do 25-man raids to experience end game zones. The 25-man and 10-man raid zones are on different save timers, so both can be done in the same week.


Utgarde Keep
Dungeons: Utgarde Keep (70-72), Utgarde Pinnacle (80)

Utgarde is located in Howling Fjord and contains 2 different 5-man instances. Level 70-72 Utgarde Keep and Level 80 Utgarde Pinnacle.


The Nexus
Dungeons: The Nexus (71-73), The Oculus (80) and The Eye of Eternity (80 Raid Zone)

The Nexus is located in The Borean Tundra and features two 5-man instances. Level 71-73 The Nexus and Level 80 The Oculus. There is also a raid zone here called The Eye of Eternity which is the dwelling place of Malygos

Azol-Nerub
Dungeons: Azol-Nerub (72-74), Ahn'kahet (73-75)

Home to the Nerubian's, two 5-man instances are awaiting players. Level 72-74 Azol-Nerub and Level 73-75 Ahn'Kahet.


Drak'Tharon Keep (74-76)

Grizzly Hills holds this Level 74-76 dungeon. Full of nasty scourge waiting to be slaughtered!


The Violet Hold (75-77)

Located in the Ice Troll land of Gundrak, this Level 76-78 dungeon will provide a challenge to even the most skilled player.


Ulduar
Dungeons: Halls of Stone (77-79), Halls of Lightning (80, Raid zone -80)

Located in the Storm Peaks, Ulduar has 3 different instances. Two 5-mans: The Level 77-79 Halls of Stone and the Level 80 Halls of Lightning. There is also an un-named Level 80 Raid Zone.


Stratholme Past (80)

Located in Tanaris at the Caverns of Time, this Level 80 5-man puts you fighting side by side with Prince Arthas and Mal'Ganis in order to cleanse the city of the plague.


Naxxaramas (80)

The newly retuned Naxxaramus isn't your TBC Naxx! This Level 80 Raid Zone now allows both 10-man and 25-man Raids. No attunement is required and the old Naxxaramus will no longer exist.


Raid: The Chamber of the Aspects (80)

The Dragonblight holds this 10/25-man Raid Zone. Inside the Wyrmrest Temple is an Onyxia-style raid encounter where you will destroy Sartharion the Onyx Guardian.


Raid: Icecrown Citadel (80)

Similar to TBC Black Temple, Icecrown Citadel will be released in a future patch. Also a 10-man and 20-man Level 80 Raid Zone, you will be confronted with Arthas Menethil, the Lich King himself!
