One of the funniest fights I've been in, there was so much laughing on vent when people started to get turned into little red riding hood and the wolf started chasing them.

had a great time with this instance (was the first time our guild encountered it).

we only had 1 hunter and 1 rogue in the group (i was the rogue), and this gun dropped.  i totally wanted it, but basically forced the hunter to take it instead.  it'll drop again, i'm sure and i'll take it then.

After three weeks in a row of Wizard of Oz, I got goosebumps when we found out it was BBW (that conversation alone was hilarious!).

When we finished giggling and killed the sucker and this gun dropped, I screamed and (pretty much creamed) in RL - and spent two minutes in raid and guild chat rapidly typing MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Yeah, I was excited.  After getting the weapon, I made my first Khorium Scope for myself, and whipped up some Adamantite Shells.  At that point, I realized that this gun comes with a hefty pricetag.  Either a ton of time farming adamantite - or 60g or so a pop to fill my ammo pouch with Adamantite Shells.  The Cenarion Expedition arrows are also 37 DPS, but only cost 40s or so a stack, so in terms of price per shot -be prepared to spend some cash if taking this bad boy out on a raid to max out your DPS. 

As a dwarf hunter, this gun absolutely rox. 

I feel sorry for the squirrel that was my first kill - my first aimed shot crit with nothing but self buffs and hunters mark blasted him for 5140 damage!!!  The guild was lol-ing and saying we are having BBQ squirrel - all that time and effort to get the gun and I go around killing level 1 critters - lol.

I think I am actually going to spend the money on an elixir, and start blasting away in PVP for awhile. 

I believe the sight of my stumpy hairy ass on top of a hill looking down the barrel of this gun will have a clothie thinking in the back of their mind "uh-oh, I think he has +5 skill with that cannon"......you know, that perfect moment of clarity before their digital heads get splatterd to the graveyard.

ummmm does anyone whink its wierd that a wolf would carry a sniper rifle designed for the purpose of slaying wolves?

If this gun had 3 dps and a speed so slow it only fired every 2 days, i would STILL use it (it looks like 2 tank guns with a sword on the bottom :D )

*Grumble grumble*

  Been waiting for this one forever.  Took engineering to make headpiece and khorium destroyer just so I'd be able to get into Kara and hopefully get this and Legacy.  After about 3 months running it we get the BBW event and it finally drops.  I was saying beforehand that I was hoping for the gun and a rogue said he was rolling if it did.  He was really there for Malchazeen but could use my primary weapon as well.  I whispered the guild master about if he'd want a rogue rolling a hunter on a ranged upgrade and he said Prince's bow was better (which is true) and let it go if it happened.

  So, as fate would have it...  Gun drops, we roll, he wins.  No one in the raid was paying attention that a rogue rolled until later. Then people got pissed.  By that time I was just hoping for the bow.

  So we down Prince and no bow, but Malchazeen does drop.  So (and my apologies to all other rogues who never screwed a hunter on a ranged upgrade) I rolled and won.  I felt like a tool taking it, but people cheered, so I was ok with it.  I sometimes run around with it out in Shatt as a warning to bastards everywhere.

  The very next week we are back in and BBW again.  Gun drops again.  I am the only hunter for whom it is an upgrade and our raid leader (a rogue) is one of the ones who cheered me last time, so I get the gun with no rolls.  None in 3 months then 2 back to back.  Crazy.

  Anyways, moral of the story;  Don't get too greedy or someone will do the same to you (maybe sooner than you think).  And the second moral;  Don't ever down Prince at 4am when you are almost unconscious because you might hate-roll on Malchazeen, which I would NEVER have done were I thinking clearly, even if the rogue really deserved it.

Just to clairify just WHY this gun is tops for BM

two words... SHOT SPEED
which in turn effects another two words... SHOT ROTATION

essientially, 2.7 speed (or 2.6 if you're lucky enough to land the doomwalker drop) is the *perfect* speed for a 1:1 shot rotation (assuming haste proc from IAotH).

Marks / surv shot speed with quiver (no other haste)

BM shot speed (w/o IAotH proc)
1.95

BM shot speed w/ IAotH proc
~1.7

Now most people with less latency would be able to haste safely down to ~1.6 but i have bad lat, so 1.7 is about as fast as I can safely haste to for a 1:1 shot rotation without clipping autoshots.

As you can see, with the faster shot time, you will have *a lot* less deadtime in your shot rotation (1.5 sec GCD is really what limits us, as Steady shot is hasted to the same % as autoshot, therefore haste will NOT clip autoshots, but haste will clip Steadys due to the GCD). Less deadtime = More DPS, which is what this is really all about right?

Also this gun is a bit quick for a proper 1:1.5 (also known as the 2:3) shot rotation with arcane weaving. It's possible but with bad lat you might want to stick to steelhawk or sunfury bow (or any bow, xbow or gun with 2.8 or greater shot speed).

Incidentally, the agi is pure gravy on this gun as it could have no stats at all and *still* be the top pre-BT ranged weapon for BM

So basically for BM, this gun is tops, and for everyone else with good lat, highly recomended but easily replaced with other bows/guns

Also added note, while Surv hunters would be able to use this gun effectively, the other rifle mentioned above (barrel bladed rifle) is TOO fast for effective 1:1.5 rotation and despite it's excellent agi (tons of agi and 2 red sockets) the drop in dps going to a 1:1 rotation would probably end getting your guildies mad at you (fewer shots going off means less expose weakness)
