Look at the ingredients and read the description. It does not stack. Also, the alchemist stone is needed to make this one.

Technicly you could make an Alchemist Stone, use it to make this trinket and then make another Alchemist Stone. The effect wouldnt stack but you could wear both of them.

Hm whats so good about this?  Seems almost like a downgrade to me.

Lets say you're a warrior and you do 1000dps without the trinket.

This new trinket has 108 attack power, which will add 7.7dps.  It will always add 7.7 dps and not scale with your gear/buffs.  In this case you end up with 1007.7dps if you equip it.

The old trinket has 15 agility which is 0.45% crit and 0.5% dodge.  If your dps is 1000 and you add 0.45% crit
you will increase your dps by about 1000*0.0045=4.5dps, and it will scale with the rest of your gear/buffs.

In addition the old trinket has 15 strength=30 attack power=2.1dps.  You also get 15 sta which is nice.

You end up with 1006.6dps 0.5% dodge and 15sta if you equip the old trinket.

This post is faded because it has a negative score.

AP's effectiveness is increased by haste, and crit. just to make this painfully obvious - if you had 100% crit, and crits do double dmg. ap would be worth 2x the base dps it adds.

Obviously I didnt take talents into account.  The old trinket for instance triggers flurry more often and benefits from Impale because of its crit.  I'll give you that the new one is probably still better for a fury warrior, but not for other specs like arms or a protection warrior offtank that occasionally wears dps gear.

      You probably alliance my firend...
you have no idea what AP (or strength) means to a warrior....

just learn to read what on your toolbar before posting:

      Bloodthirst (Rank 6)
      30 Rage 5 yd range
      Instant 6 sec cooldown
Instantly attack the target causing (AP*45/100) damage. In addition, the next 5 successful melee attacks will restore 30 health. This effect lasts 8 sec. Damage is based on your attack power.

It's way better than Alch stone, both of trinkets suck for arena since you never drink potions there. But for dps warrior in instance this is one of the best ones available

wat does being alliance have to do with know about AP or strength i am a dwarf warrior so do i not know wat AP means cuz im alliance?

For those curious, you can make and equip both the Alchemist's Stone and other Sun faction stones like the Assassin's Alchemist Stone.  Mat expensive, but I've done it.

Do the +potion effects stack with each other????

If you read the effect on the stone, it states:
        "Does not stack."
So you can use both the original alchemists stone with the new one, but the potion effect will not stack.  I personally would proffer both of them equipped for participating in battlegrounds.  The AP is nice, and the bonus I get from the potion increase is very nice.

this is a nice little trinket for melee dps in raids. The +104ap is nice, but the 40% healing/mana pot increase is sweet to go along.

I believe all melle raid dpsers out their know what its like to have spam heals on the tank and you gotta blow those pots just to be hit again for more than that pot could even heal u for. So here is a 40% AND SOME SWEET AP.

Cant wait to do this on my furt warrior. Ill bump over 2k ap w/o buffs XD

Thanks for player below giving me a correction.

        Simple calculation.

consider badge reward item and this item in 2 minute interval.

        Bloodlust Brooch

        72 x 120 (2 minutes )

        +

        278 x 20 (20 seconds)

=14200 all combined attack power only from trinket in 2 minutes

        Assassin's Alchemist Stone

        108 x 120 (2 minutes)

=12960 all combined attack power only from trinket in 2 minutes

The badge reward has bit of more ATP, while Alchemist Stone has the potion boost. As for item level, they should be around at same margin.

Yet I still would like to favor on Alchemist stone, because of numerous occasions the player below stated

But neither of those are not better than Jul'jin's trinket.

          Bloodlust Brooch

          72 x 100 ( 1 minute and 40 seconds)

          +

          278 x 20 (20 seconds)

=12760 all combined attack power only from trinket in 2 minutes

          Assassin's Alchemist Stone

          108 x 120 (2 minutes)

=12960 all combined attack power only from trinket in 2 minutes

As conclusion, it is significant upgrade from the badge reward because of potion boost along with slightly added attack power.

Bluemagic, I'm afraid your math is wrong here.  While the Bloodlust Brooch is active, it adds 278 AP IN ADDITION TO its base 72 AP.  So the calculation would be:

          72 x 120

          +

          278 x 20

= 14200 combined AP over the two mins.

So, technically, the Bloodlust Brooch still provides more AP.
Another way to think about it is this, the Bloodlust Brooch (if you constantly activate it as soon as it's cooldown is up) will provide an average of 118.3 AP.  While the Stone will provide a constant 108 AP.

Of course, no one can actually remember to always keep Bloodlust Brooch active 100% of the time it is available, so in actual usage, I think the Stone will still probably do more for your DPS over the course of an evening...

I registered just to tell you how stupid you are :-)

First off, you CANNOT pot in Arena games.
Second of all, the Alchemist stones only apply to Health and Mana potions.

So quit telling your dumb lies to try and make yourself sound cool on Thottbot, thanks

I'm a little confused on this one.

My ret palli has the reg alchemist stone which adds +15 to all stats, while this one only adds 108 attk power. being that I actually use all the stats wouldnt I be better off keeping the old trinket?

I could see why a war or rogue would want this one but it seems like a downgrade to me, shrug.

then you will see more clearly.

    Hunter analysis of this stone:

The way I see it, in long boss fights, I typically need to roll with Aspect of the Viper so that I have the mana to maintain my dps for the entire fight.  I can use pots, of course, but it all comes down to a comparison of aspects, trinkets, and pots.

Aspect of the Hawk:  +155 Attack Power

Aspect of the Viper:  mana return up to 55% of Intellect / 5 sec

Assassin's Alchemist Stone:  +108 Attack Power and +40% effect from mana and health pots

    Super Mana potion:
    1800-3000 mana --> +40% -->  2520-4200 mana

Super Rejuvenation / Mad Alchemist potions:
    1650-2750 health and mana -->  +40% -->  2310-3850 mana

    Fel Mana Potion:
    3200 mana / 24 sec --> +40% -->  4480 mana / 24 sec

Potions can be used every 2 minutes (120 sec), so spreading that mana out over two minutes gives the following MP5:

    Super Mana potion:  105-175 mp5
    Super Rejuv / Mad Al:  96-160 mp5
    Fel Mana potion:  186 mp5

I use Bloodlust Brooch and the current version of the alchemist stone before this one, so I am just going to give the AP increase and mp5 comparison by using it and not using it, as well as using the average return of potions:

    Aspect of the Viper:
My intellect in PVE gear is around 310.  This gives 170 mp5 using 55% of intellect.  It likely won't be that high all of the time, but that's the maximum.

Aspect of the Hawk + Al Stone:

+ 155 Attack Power - Aspect of the Hawk
    + 108 Attack Power - Assassin's Stone
    ------------------------------------------
    = +263 Attack Power

    Using Fel Mana potion = 185 mp5

Basically, you can get 263 more attack power using this trinket with Fel Mana potions and still maintain enough mana for the long fight as if you had the Aspect of the Viper on.  Even with regular Super Mana pots, you'll still maintain around 140 mp5...and you can switch to Aspect of the Viper to finish off a boss.

If you can find a trinket that does more than 263 effective Attack Power, drop the stone, but otherwise, it looks like a very good hunter choice for long fights.  From what I can tell, the extra 263AP is about an extra 18.8dps, which equals about 2.5% crit based on my current gear.
