If anyone has seen the T4 and T5 video's, which is most of us, the Corruptor Raiment looks more badass standing next to Voidheart. One stat people hardly take into account is intimidation. This set is FAR more intimidating than the T4 Warlock set. This often overlooked feature of set's would only be beneficial in PvP, but why not scare the crap out of those trespassers on your farming grounds? Show em who's territory they're really in!

Alright. This set only requires 4/5 pieces for the full set bonus, so lets use all but this set's gloves.
Instead well use Gladiator's Dreadweave gloves, because they give a 50% chance to avoid interuption while casting fear, and have decent stats. Link: http://www.thottbot.com/?i=54943 Now, since we locks like to be able to throw out that especially nasty bit of burst damage -Nightfall, Shadowburn etc... Well use this Hood of the Corruptor, and put Mystical Skyfire Diamond in the Meta socket (2% chance during spellcast that next spell is instant cast, proc lasts 4 seconds) Giving us that nice chance at an instant Soul fire. I'm still working on the *ultimate* combination, but this looks like a good start. I'll update based on interest~ otherwise i'll just do it myself.
This set grants extra damage over T4, extra 4 hit rating (about 0.3% chance to hit), extra 37 crit rating (about 1.5% chance to crit) and also 13 spell penetration. Of course T4 2-piece set bonus may beat these improvements.
But what is interesting is 2-piece set bonus here. Healing amplification from Fel Armor, damage mitigation of Soul Link, and of course this bonus healing your pet after it takes damage from Soul Link. Of course for bosses that deal a lot of physical damage this won't beat Warrior's plates with all dodges, parries and blocks, but you're gonna love it when it comes to bosses that deal elemental damage. So I foresee some encounters that will require Warlock tanking. That should be some extra fun.
By the look of it, considering it's our uber-top class set, a flat 3% seems rather low, until... it stacks !
And it wouldn't surprise me, that the buff stacks up to 5 (for example). That's could be really great when your spaming SB or Incinerate for example ! obviously it's a Hunter Armor. too bad they don't have corruption yet.
i think he means you don't use pets actively like i always keep my imp on passive so he doesn't get raped by an aoe spell and therefor you will never need to heal him because he'll never take damage and you usually only have another pet out for the rare specific boss like the elemental boss in mc which i hear now you can't even banish them so that would be pointless anyways

Even though the Tier 5 Shoulders look well cool, I'm aiming for Tier 4. The set boni of Tier 4 are much much better than Tier 5. I mean, Tier 5's 2/5 set bonus isn't that useful for non-Felguard Warlocks. And the 4/5 set bonus is terrible! +3% Corruption damage? +3% Immolate damage?

If you compare stats, Corrupter does indeed have about +20 spell damage/healing than Voidheart, BUT it has less stam and less int.
It also has +crit, which is next to useless for Affliction specced locks. Thus I say, Tier 4 aka Voidheart - Affliction/Demonology Tier 5 aka Corruptor - Destruction. Of course, there's also the Gladiator stuff (Dreadweave - Affliction, Felweave - Destruction) that is harder to get and then there's all the other instance stuff and the REAL Tier 6 that will come from Black Temple. So, do what you want, but inherently there are Spec related differences in these new sets.

Also the 2 piece set bonus is great for pvp/arena. Instead of throwing heals at the pet, you just throw them at the lock.
Also one of the bosses in SSC is tanked by a warlock, and with Soul Link this set bonus would be great.
Ok I have only compared the pants between this set and Voidheart, because my shadoweave set and Destruction hologogs are generally as good as/better than Voidheart for my affliction lock, BUT what are people talking about with all the this set is not as good as Voidheart for affliction? The pants at least are much better. socketed as I would socket them the Pants give:

Ive read a lot of comments bashing this set in favour of the Tier 4 setbonus, which apparently gives "+12% damage"....
This is a gross misunderstanding of the effect of the bonus. The Tier 4 4set does not give a bonus to *damage*, it gives a bonus to _efficiency_. It means you get 12% more damage *per mana* than before, your damage remains the same. Now I dont know about you guys, but every fight Ive been in so far has been about DPS rather than efficiency, and Warlocks can lifetap for mana anyway. The 4set on Tier 5 is stronger simply because of the increased DPS; if every lock in a raid had 4 T5 instead of T4, the lock component would see a significant DPS increase. Every fight in T5 territory and most after are based on DPS, there is usually a 10 or 15 minute 'hard enrage' that will wipe the raid if you dont have the damage to lay the boss low before that. At the moment, the bonus stands at 10%... I am not sure if that bonus stacks, but the old bonus certainly did. If it does stack, you're looking at ~30% increase to total Corruption/Immolate damage (taking into account the diminising returns as the DoT ticks away).
As a raiding warlock with both t4 and t5 4sets i can tell you all that t5 4set is much better as for dps output. In most boss fight i am in the top 3 on the dmg meters whereas b4 i had the 4set t5 bonus i was in the top 6. the set boosts my corruption ticks for an average of 850dmg. I have seen my corruption tick for over 1000dmg in certain circumstances. im an afflock, so i havent really had the chance to test out the improved immolate. theres a reason why 4set t5 is harder to get than t4
I'm a destro lock so I can't really see how incredible this set is. In comparisson to my T4 I would be loosing a very nice damage buff. I'm 21/40 so I sac my pets for buffs, making the two piece set bonus useless. So the four piece bonus for destro locks isn't all that useful either. Most destro locks would do better off with T4, Zul'Aman, or Eye gear - most of it has lots of crit rating and hit rating.

this set is a DREAM for 0/40/21 crit locks. One: as you have soul link on, and you usually have imp or succubus out. These two pets are infamous for their low amounts of health and squishyness. With the 2 piece set bonus your pet wont die. In addition to this, the crit rating is really good on this set. over 30 crit rating added to the felweave set. Granted, i do agree that the spell damage is a little low, but enchants ftw on gloves and bracers =)
Works well for 40/0/21 locks (me) as well, since I'm constantly using Corruption, Shadowbolt, and Immolate. Not too big on Incinerate, but I'd only have to use it once to get the buff.
I'm also unclear on how the 4 piece set bonus works. I would assume that when you cast a SB or Incinerate that hits, the mob or boss would get a debuff until combat ends. It never mentions the duration of the bonus effect(s) in the item description. Guess I'll have to get it to find out :) My guild's just getting to the bosses that drop these tokens (we just downed Hydross, and Lurker's on farm status now), so hopefully I can report back & let you know sometime soon!
