      ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

Description: The Assassination Armor set is a Dungeon Set 3, FIVE (5) piece rare quality (BLUE) Rogue set.

DROPS: *ALL* set items drop in normal mode level 67-70 dungeons throughout Outland.

[Shoulderpads of Assassination] : Talon King Ikiss (Sethekk Halls Normal Mode)
[Leggings of Assassination]: Murmur (Shadow Labyrinth Normal Mode)
[Handgrips of Assassination]: Aeonus (The Black Morass Normal Mode)
[Tunic of Assassination] Drop from: Pathaleon the Calculator (The Mechanar Normal Mode)
[Helm of Assassination] Drop from: Harbinger Skyriss (The Arcatraz Normal Mode)

IMPORTANT NOTE: You can likely get most, if not all, Assasination items fairly soon without needing to spend 1k gold at the AH to gear your Blue/Greenie Rogue w/ blue gems and the leatherworker blue raiding set.

----------->Now do yourself a favour and skip the rest of the posts, which typically of Thottbot, mostly consist of underage baby Roguezors arguing with underage baby Dr00ds about loot [sic] priority. These are the ppl who cannot form a coherent sentense in English to say nothing about spelling, hemorrhage with 1.40 daggers, try to ambush ppl with swords on, and most typically vanish w/ bleeds on and then whine at the forums that Vanish is broken.

(P.S. Have been out ouf the game for 1 year, Thott is my favourite site since WoW 1.0x, and having been dismayed at the garbage posted on this page, thought to add some useful info).

I don't think anyone is saying the gear should be sharded as opposed to being picked up by a feral druid (and if they are, they're worthless anyway). I think the issue is a feral druid rolling on one of the pieces with a rogue present who doesn't have the piece in question.

Individually, a few of the pieces of the set suck. There are better pieces in other dungeons or rewards for quests. The thing is, the set bonuses make the set good. The set bonuses apply to rogues only. The set was clearly designed to go to rogues first. After that, by all means, go for it druids.

A few people have mentioned that this is the best non-epic feral tanking set in the game. Just so you people know, Wastewalker is what would be considered the non-epic feral dungeon set in TBC.

You really shouldn't roll against Rogues on this set due to the fact that the set bonuses enhance rogue abilities that druids don't have. Arguing over loot on this database website is pretty stupid; I never thought I would participate in it. The only reason I'm jumping in here is because not everyone realizes what is available with all this new loot that is in the game. Feral Druids who are trying to put together a good dungeon set need to look into the Wastwalker set.

Druids get moonwalker if you want to arena or pvp or something, get clefthoof for tanking and make your own set for DPS.  Until you get your gladiator set or raiding sets that is.  Stop rolling on this crappy agil and stam gear.  Plus WTF are you going to do with these set bonuses?

Actually, the best way to get these shoulders is a stealth run into Sethekk Halls.  Just completed 4 runs tonight and the shoulders dropped twice.  Our group was two 70 druids a 70 rogue and 69 rogue (me).  It takes 15 minutes to stealth to Ikiss and down him.  Rinse and repeat until anyone who wants the drop gets it.

      Key points:

      * His Magic Missiles are weak.  Don't worry about them unless you're very low on HP.

      * His Sheep is almost a help, since it heals you so quickly.  The only exception is if you get caught in sheep when he begins casting Arcane Explosion, because you won't have time to get away.  See below....

      * Arcane Explosion is bad!  The only way to avoid it is to break line-of-sight.  Our feral druid tanked Ikiss at the very back of the room between the two pillars.  As soon as he blinks, you have 5 seconds to get away and behind a pillar.  Otherwise he hits for a lot! It's about 5000 HP followed almost immediately by a 2000 point magic missile.  The entire group must break LOS, even the tank.

After he does his AoE thing, he'll run right back to you for more tank and spank fun.  He does the blink/aoe thing 3-4 times through the fight.

Sethekk Halls stealth runs are a blast.  Here's hoping some of my fellow Rogues get their shoulders using the above tips - and even some Druids too!  This is also a great way to get Spirit Shards, since you get two every time you kill him.

I see no issues with a duid taking it if rogue doesn't need etc. etc. However I would think that the majority of the druids out there would most def. let a rogue take if he was in party. I just keep seeing post after post about druids not taking lol. Now don't get me wrong I know it happens, In fact it happened on my D1 shoulders for my warrior where a pally needed it over me. Kinda irritating and I never went on to get those shoulders, so i due understand the concern.. but that is all i see posts about lol.. How about some other posts besides that and give the druids for the most part a little more credit here. :)

I have this set on my rogue and its cool. Never rolled same time with druid, but rogue yes and I have lost as well. I always asked when grouped with druid and if he said he is going to need despite its rogue class set, I said in party chat that druid is rolling on rogue set and leaved. Sometimes I even got invited back and druid was replaced(or leader promised to masterloot them to me) :) because most party will think its noobish to roll against rogue on his own set. And hell yeah it is.

My advice is that stay away from group where is druid needing on these and you need them. Ask him first. Most of them doesn't need them.

It feels far more worse to lose such a pieces to a druid, who can't get full benefit from them, than to not go there at all. There is plenty of other druids, warriors who tanks and I have seen good pally tanks too.

They have really nice time with grouping such a noob and passing 1/2 chests cause they are locked :) and when I have been running in instances. Even though it doesnt feel much I have seen about 20 boe rares coming from locked chests and there is always more than 5 gold money.

Greetings, and welcome to Ravnodaus explains it all!

Todays topic, Rogue abilities. We will take a short tour on a day in the life of our freindly neighborhood melee Dpser.

To begin our tour, we will begin with the Rogue options to begin a fight, a fitting place to begin indeed. If our rogue in question uses daggers, he may be tempted to open with an Ambush, but more often then not, he will either be unable to, or choose another route to victory. The Cheap Shot. This a move that stuns it's victim, alowing the rogue and his fellows to act freely, most commonly that involves killing the subject.

Ah yes, killing the subject, that brings me to another amazing ability of the Rogue. Eviscerate. Frequently refered to as a Finisher, the Eviscerate is a common choice to end the battle. Using his energy to deal massive amounts of damage, a fully prepared Eviscerate can often mean the difference between success, or failure.

Now that we have taken a short trip, I think we have all learned a valuable bit of information about this intricate and exotic specimen.

Now, if only there where a way to improve his Cheap Shot and Eviscerate abilities......

It would be like a warrior needing a piece of plate over a pally when the plate gives + to healing. Face it, most druids have inferiority complexes that lead them to believe they have to be the best dps, the best tank, the best healer (i.e.  the Greed mongers) I have been in guilds where all boss drops for kara are charged DKP. But you know what? The druids cry thier asses off when they U on an item (for their "offspec") that is about to be de'ed and get charged dkp. That's greed---plain and simple and the ONLY class I've seen guilty of it is------Druid.

Im a rogue assassiantion speced - doing a research on rogue armor sets, I came across these posts.

I also did a little research on Wastewalker.

This is what I came up with.

Assassination armor is strictly ment by Blizzard for rogues ONLY.
Druids dont have any right to roll on this (unless no rogue is present - and then and only then when no rogue is present druids can roll).
Druids have other armor sets which are meant explecetely for their class.

Wastewalker armor is made for both classes!! There is no restriction to rogues or druids. Wastewalker is there to fill the empty slots on your character. Both classes can roll on Waistwalker.

If a druid rols on Assassination - it's the same as rogue rolling on a druid piece of armor.

So be friendly, play nice, respect each other - which also means dont steal from each other.
I was gonna saya this is just a game, but just when I think life cant get any better something weird happens that surprises me. This hapens every so often and I am very happy when I am able to get an instance party that is mature and they know what they're doing.
So to all of you who are still learning to play, dont be greedy unless you have a good reason for it, respect other classes but dont be stupid.
If a rogue gives you a piece of armor that belongs to him - he has a good reason for it, or you did something that pissed him and he just wants to get something else he needs.

And I will finish up with this: this is just a game, so play nice.

I have 3 pieces of this set.
And I also did a little math - simple one.

This is how many runs it took me to get my 3 pieces:

Shoulderpads - 2nd run in Sethekk Halls
Handgrips - 4th or 5th run in Black Morass
Leggings - around 15 runs in Shadow Labyrinth

          This is my speculation:

          Helm - about 32 runs
          Tunic - about 64 runs

Thats jsut my guess, I'd like to hear from someone who has the full set if my guesses are correct.

All speculations aside I got last two parts yesterday.
Helm droped in Mechanar ealy in the morning and tunic droped late that afternoon. I havent played the whole day. After Mech I did other stuf and when I came on at the afternoon tunic droped and so did the a haste and attack power trinket.
          Have the whole set now.
