That the stats appear sucky because it's only 5 pieces? That "sucky ass" defense rating can be more than made up for with other items. Remember that you have 370 base defense with Anticipation.
You only need 490 to become uncrittable.
And don't forget the buff that this set is getting in Patch 2.1.

You should roll a Warrior. So should anyone who hasn't actually tanked at this level. Then you gain perspective into what's important at this level of play. Your damage meter = irrelevant. Your threat meter = paramount. 90% of the time. If you miss a click on your Huntard, all you lose is some 'status' on your f*&@ing damage meter. (And your TpS will be reduced) If your tank misses a click, you pull aggro and die. Then you can blame your tank when you make too much pew pew and didn't get Subtlety on your cloak. I love seeing Locs with 350 Defense skill.

So true! A druid can go up to 22k armor in dire bear form... If he goes for nothing but armor...
And, of course, damage mitigation caps at 75%, so a significant portion of that armor is wasted...
Not to mention that this is a five piece set. I'd say 5400 armor from five chunks is pretty damn good. Now let's find us a shield and three more bits of armor to fill in the unused slots, 'eh?

You're forgetting the fact that Druids need more armor because they actually take MORE damage, right? Also after you factor in the 10% damage reduction Warrior's get from Def. Stance, Druid's armor isn't all that much better.
And yet they have no Block or Parry chance.
The high armor in bear form is designed to make up for that.
apperantly Karanyx, u have forgotten that druids CANT PARRY (or block??)!!! warriors dmg mitagation comes from completly avoiding being hit rather then soaking up with our big bear asses

Warbringer has more armor, more stamina, more agility, more defense, more block rating, more dodge, and more parry.
Dreadnaught has more strength, more block value, and more +hit.
Alright.. for all you people that fail to notice something. Dreadnaught is a 9 piece set. Warbringer is 5/FIVE pieces. Which means you get 4 other random items you get to use.... which means more stats! That and sockets would mean far more stats and other things than what Dreadnaught has to offer. Because im lazy i wont relay this message to everyone else that frowns upon tier 5 for less stats and such, but hopefully they will read this.
He is comparing the Dreadnaught counterparts, not all 9 pieces to the 5 pieces, and he's not even taking into account the sockets. Warbringer's base stats dwarf Dreadnaught in just about every way that matters. The only thing Dreadnaught has on Warbringer is the set bonuses, period. And maybe looks :P

Do a little research. You don't simple "talk" to someone to get tier anything. You gotta be in a raid, kill a boss, watch it drop, and win the TOKEN. Then with the TOKEN, you then fly your happy ass to Shattrath and exchange the token for what I hope will be the tanking piece, and not the dps piece (unless everyone in the raid already has their proper piece).
Or, if you really think the "talking" strategy will work, walk right up to Prince Malchezaar and ask him nicely for it. I hope the one-shot will give you the answer you're looking for.
Is blade turning just 200 Damage absorbed? Or is it 200 on each attack for 15 seconds? I don't get the time thing, and I think absorbing 200 damage after on 1/4th of my parries is kind of weak when you're getting nailed for 3-4000 a hit.
I mean, each little bit helps, but I'd prefer a slight increase in threat or something.
It absorbs 200 damage for every hit within the 15 second period, and procs quite a bit.
Hmm 200 damage by BC's standards IS weak. Non heroic mobs at level 70 can hit tanks for up to 400 500 600, even 1200 some of them. SO I don't know what they were thinking with the "200". If it were "2000" I'd be a bit more satisfied.

when u have that much armor you wont get hit for 1200 so an extra 200 damage not hitting you isn't bad. could be more but it's pretty good.

Well, first off all you cant compare tier 3 over tier 4.. I know its better, but fully tier 3 stil gives awsome bonus's, but ofc still not better then 2-set bonus and the 4-set bonus from Warbringer Armor which really pwns.. 10% damage from Revenge = More agro = You wont die.
And some say that the 2-set bonus is a bit lousy, but guys, its every time a mob/boss hit you, and its a plus to the healers, who can take a break sometimes with the healing..
Really nice set, and go bring 12 stam sockets on em, to build your health, cause you really shouldnt have a problem about defence, parry and dodge if you got this set..

(Inhales Deeply) Well... if your just starting Kara with your guild and you the MT dont have any of the kara gear yet, your in for a wait. Kara is just the beginning of t4. You dont get the first piece (gloves) until curator which is the 5th event/boss. First you got attumen who drops plate bracers, then moroes, who drops a belt, tanking trinket, and decent but not tanking specific cape. The you got maiden who drops kara set gloves and a tanking necklace (both of which I have not seen to this day after 20 kills) Then you got opera event that drops the kara set helm. Then comes chess event (freebie) that could give u the kings defender tanking sword. Then you get to fight curator for a chance at your first piece of t4 and some decent plate leggings. Then you get to "attempt" shade who can drop a nice tanking ring (also have not seen). Then finally u get to the worst boss fight in kara (imo) Prince who drops your t4 helm. Provided you get every single piece of tanking gear possible from kara up to this point (which you won't) Prince will still own you over .. and over .. and over .. and over again unless you get lucky with some infernal placements. If you down him (unlikely until WEEKS in kara) you MIGHT get the warrior token to drop for the t4 helm. Course then again you probably won't then you get to wash rinse and repeat until you do manage to get it. There are 3 more bosses in kara past prince. Netherspite, illhoof, and Nightbane. Kara Tanking shoulders, cloak, shield and chest respectively. Then you move on to Gruul's Lair 25 man. High King Maulgar drops your t4 shoulders provided you get this difficult to learn pull down with maulgar + 4 adds all once to control. Maulgar arcing smashes for 16k+ on cloth and he will hit you for 6k easily as a tank with good gear. This fight requires a minimum of 3 well geared tanks to accomplish. So not only u have to get most of the previously stated kara loot but 2 others as well (druid tanks work well too). If you down him and get your t4 shoulders grats. On to Gruul. Two 16k minimum hp buffed tanked are required for this as well as 23 non idiots in decent gear to drop gruul who will 1 shot the tanks for 16k+ dmg if the fight goes on too long. Then you might get your t4 legs ... and might not. Ive been in this guild since May 16th (3 months ago). It was already running Kara before I joined and had experienced / decently geared ppl in it. I have t4 gloves t4 shoulders (last week) t4 legs (last night) and thats it so far. Im still missing kara loots including t4 helm from prince cause they just wont drop and havent even attempted mag yet. All that to say this .. you got a while to wait..... hope your patient... i totally agree but i got lucky and got most of my gear in the first 3 weeks of raiding kara, as long as you have a intelligent group and not ardtards you should be straight. Armory= kinghero aerie peak

I just got the leggards and the pauldrons from Gruul's lair, these were my first of the tier 4 set. I know that gruul's is supposed to be after kara, but since my guild is well geared, this was actually a simple way to gear me out. only took 2 hours.
my dodge pct went up 4% to around 21% after gemming.
Is there any way i can trade the Warbringer armor for the DPS set?
