This set has massive spell dmg and high block rating.  If you have not noticed already, spell dmg a tankadin inflicts on his enemy generates alot of aggro due to righteous fury buff.  Also, every block paladin does inflicts reflective spell dmg with holy shield and even more if you have blessing of sancuary and ret aura on.  Block rating is similar for warriors.  Warriors get rage to expend for an aggroing attack when they block, we get instant aggro when we block.
With a good spell dmg weapon,  a tankadin with this level of spell dmg bonus (300 or higher spell dmg) has massive aggro (even at Serp Cav level I would imagine) if he/she is judging the npc, hitting it with seals, aoeing it, reflectign dmg, etc., doing his tankadin thing.  I have tanked with Serp Cav-level mages and hold aggro well against them with 300 spell dmg.

This is a wonderfull tanking set, but some how I doubt any pally could keep aggro at those lvls, unless I am missing something here.

Lol say that to my 430 spell dmg. paladin i stay generally on a longer boss fight 50k threat above everyone in the raid....1.3k tps ftw and im not even wearing T6 you pull agro from me you fucked up somewhere along the lines of not dropping threat rofl

While my opinion on the looks is, well, my opinion, I'd have to say that i'd keep the Justicar Shoulders, and not bother with the Crystalforge one's.
    Justicar has:
    Armor : 997
    Stam : 18
    Int : 22
    Def : 12
    Block Value : 23
    Block Rating : 15
    Dmg/Healing : 22
    MP/5 : 0
    Crystalforge has:
    Armor : 1133
    Stam : 28
    Int : 23
    Def : 20
    Block Value : 0
    Block Rating : 0
    Dmg/Healing : 12
    MP/5 : 6

    To sum it up. Justicar has -136 Armor, -10 Stam, -1 Int, +23 Block Value, +15 Block Rating, +10 Dmg/healing, -6 MP/5.

I'd rather have the BV,BR,DMG/Heal, then the Stam,Int,and MP/5. Armor is almost a non-factor, imo.

As well, the last piece i would swap out would be the Gloves, as they also have BV + BR, while the crystalforge gloves don't. But the CF 4 peice bonus is sweet ^.-.

(WTB: Justicar 2-peice Bonus + Crystalforge 4-peice bonus)

Casts on the friendly you have targeted, or casts on the friendly your current mobs is agro'd to. Always have target of target display turned on in your Blizzard options so you know when your selected mob is not on the right person.

Consider this (maybe think outside of raiding for a sec), you're in unfamiliar territory and get some adds during a fight. There's a bunch of adds right next to your clothie now, but you don't know which ones are hitting them Do you want to spend time taunting and sundering them all or just select priest/mage and hit taunt and instantly get all of them? This mechanic has its advantages. I use it even when I'm not tanking to save the clothies, giving the war time to get them back.

Crystalforge (T5) has, compared to Justicar (T4):

700 more armor. (Lawl 1% damage reduction)
    8 more stamina.
36 more Dodge rating. (Before accounting for Defense)
    21 less intellect.
    20 less block value.
    1 less mana/5.
    1 less +spell damage.
16 less Defense. (Affects both Block and Dodge rating)
3 less Block rating. (Before accounting for Defense)

Now.. What exactly makes Crystalforge worth the title of Tier 5, when compared to Justicar..? From the view of someone who's been a tanking paladin since long before it was "Valid", Crystalforge not only looks worse, but has less power than Justicar, and I'd honestly not use Crystalforge for any reason other than the 4-piece set bonus.. And most likely I wouldn't even for that.

20 str = 1 block value. thats a lot of strength for very little reward.

the primary function of strength on warrior tanking sets is to boost AP for threat gen, like +dmg/heal on  pally sets. additional block value is just a little bit of icing on the cake. as white damage is only a negligible source of threat for a paladin, the strength would be almost completely wasted.

block value applied directly to the items ("increases the block value of your shield by..."), which these sets do have, takes up way less of the item's stats and allows there to be more of the stats that actually are 100% useful, like stamina, intellect, and defense.

Yeah wtf - no dodge. T5 Warrior and Paladin Sets go overboard with the B.Value.
        (2) Set bonus might as well improve our Stun. Outside of raids it's rarely of any use.
        (4) Warrior gets the same one for (2).

Ok first off both the 2/5 set bonuses are EXTREMELY useful 100 block value for warriors is 100 less dmg. you're taking and can add up over the time of a boss fight

And the increased damage from ret aura on the set bonus is just as important this set is made for tanking in hyjal and idk if you have been there but you gotta be able to tank multiple mobs and build threat on them easily without depending fully upon holy shield

However I do think the warrior 4/5 set bonus is somewhat misplaced and should probably be on the battlegear set replacing its rather useless 2/5 set bonus never tried it myself but umm overpower with a 1h fail imo
