You could buy all three sets if you want. It'd just, you know... take a while...

i have the AQ40 trinket "shard of the fallen star" so im going 40/0/21 (sancity aura) when i hit 70
after looking at all the lvl 70 sets this is the best for over spell dam ....even if you add the the spell dam from holy talent.thus i will be goin spell dam this is an uber set ..looks awsome too. best part is this is still a deadly set for hardcore ret fans like i used to bee before i got the AQ40 trinket blizzard finnaly did something right for us hardcore dps'ers. ^_^
I wanna se a Dwarf Paladin With this on
why is there special T5 armour for diff specs of pallys, druids etc.. but none for like hunter, rouge and mage?
u dont buy this its a drop in a ter5 instance lol if that was the case every one would buy this shit and no there are no items u need either
well it depends on wat u are stacking stam? crit chance? or wat ever tell me and i can help u
I'm a holy/prot spec and i will probably get 4 peices from this set, and one from the protection set..
BUT the one thing that i dont like about this set is the critical strike rateing.. ALL pallies shouldnt be as concerned with white damage (it helps but...)Ret pally's im sure would rather have spell crit to get that Seal/Judge of Command really cooking! So to all pallies.. dont be afraid to mix it up a little. The (2) and (4) set bonuses arnt everything.
great comment above, course you do know spell crit is useless for ret pallies right?
seal of command, judgement of the command, hammer of wrath, cursader strike and white dmg are all based on melee crit rating, why would you want spell crit as a ret pally again? melee crit is one of the most important stats for ret pallies and it's pallies like you that look bad trying to dps with spell crit and a ret build.
You won't have to worry about looks in this armor...
While they're staring at it and "lol luk its a gay pink pally" they won't have time to counteract you bashing their head in. So its a good thing XD! Don't focus on how ya look, just worry about how hard you will be beating their sorry asses for making comments. :)

My plan is to get 4 pieces of this set and then grab 1 piece of the tank set, that way I can get the set bonus and focus on what I am best at and also get a little extra boost for when I need to tank. Same plan for the tier 4 set as well.
BTW when looking at the chart, I notice that there is an agi bonus that is not listed with the items when I scroll over them. Did someone mess up on the chart? or do they actually have them Re: Crystalforge Battlegear by lothliril, Score 0.00
There might be a use for retri pallies in raids. I mean, they have all sorts of buffs, devo aura, restore health/mana/prevent enemy from running judgements, instant aggro removal from healers, and a decent amount of dmg. They can heal themselves and others, though limited, it could help to keep the actual healer alive while righteous defense is on CD. Though not the best for PvPing or dealing anything other than burst dps, they would be great for downing a wave of incoming enemies during a boss fight without needing the healer to divert his or her attention form the tank. Throw in this set, and you just might have the third most important person, behind tanks and healers.
Well almost at least 5% only lets a ret pally in....But u need to prove urself.I know a ret pally who is dps topped the dmg meters of gruul and kara...It depends wether u cld prove urself as a good dps'er or how the recruiter's mind is,open minded? or closed=healbot
you have to kill hard raid bosses for the currency then u go and trade it in at the scryers place!!! or in aldor!
I have full set on my retribution paladin w/ Hammer of the Naaru and the matching boots, belt, and bracers. Lol my guild calls me the puyple guy. Heck it even inspired the guild master to change the tabard color purple lol. Point is... I love this armor and wouldn't change a thing about it.

Actually, I kind of like your so called warrior gear.
Those endless leg guards of rage have like, 70 strength on them. And 61 stamina, and like tons of crit. Pretty beastly imo. But you see, the only warrior gear is gear that has ap. Strength, on the other hand, is paladin gear. You see, any smart ret paladin gets the 10% strength benefit, in the holy tree. 10% strength = 10% more dps, of course if you get strength >.< But they may not seem like a lot to you, well... Hehe. 70 Strength Flat x 1.1 = 77 77 x 1.1 (BoK) = 84.7 84.7 strength = 169.4 ap 70 strength = 140 ap 77 strength = 154 ap 15 ap ahead of the game. Yeah yeah, not much. Do the calculations for your whole gear... huh, more than the savagery chant :P Sure, spell damage is great and all but really, I prefer strength over spell damage, cause while spell damage increases SoC, so does strength, and strength more so per unit than spell damage, as well as increases all your other base damage attacks, like seal of crusader, only one of the most powerful attacks are arsenal.
