It isn't a duration increase, it is a haste increase. It will allow you to get more attacks in on the target in a shorter window of time.

While you might initially think that armor reducing effects are best against high armor targets, you'll actually be getting more benefit against low armor targets because of the diminishing returns of damage reduction from armor.
In other words, static armor reduction will make a lot more of a difference against a clothie than against a warrior or pally.

  It makes a lot of sense when thinking about the Ignore Armour values. Clearly 390 armour off a target who only wears cloth and has only got around 1-2k armour anyway is going to make a big difference compared to someone who wears plate (or indeed a bear form drood) who has 13k....they aren't even going to notice the difference...
  
  This also goes along with the rogues beign set-up to be the clothie nemesis in PvP. So as far as what you need to be doign to get this set i'm not sure that amount of armour reduction is really making too big a deal to be honest...seems a waste of what could be more useful stats to a raiding rogue!

  PvE rogues do NOT need resillience at all, besides, you will have to keep SnD up at all times in raids to be most effective as a dps. If you dont know this, you shouldnt be doing PvE and you're in no position to say something about it, as you probably dont have a clue. The 2-piece setbonus will increase your white damage by 5%, which is a good increase. :)
  
  Also, the 4-piece setbonus increases your yellow damage by 6%, so all in all, this will give a great increase to your dps.

  You are a pvp rogue. Resilience for raiding? Read the fine print, increase the HASTE rating of the SnD. Therefore, for raiding, item set bonuses rock. You fail at playing your toon.

All you have to do is fill as many sockets with Hit Rating you can so it can totaly 1337 pwn T5 & T4.

if u only use SS and Evis i surely garuantee you you will never see the top of a damage meter. me being a combat dagger rogue and not having awesome combo point gain BS to 5 pts and SnD. which increases my damage output by 45% for 30s... WAY more imba than evis which is a useless move now unless u are relentless spamming it in pvp. where u can ruprutes and slice and dice are the way to go for maximum damage in raids. ruptures are hawt since i get a total 3200 dmg over 18 seconds static. and my eviscrate crits for only 2800. =) gl wit ur raiding while SS/evis spammin, sry i aint inviting you to my guild :P

Yet not every fight requires dot's due to aggro wipes, speed etc. Its usual to have SnD tho

Slice and dice is the most damaging ability you have in your instance-going arsenal. An extra 5% swing speed is absolutely sexual, matey. Seriously.

  If it can tick for the full duration, Rupture always does more damage than Eviscerate. Rupture has higher base damage and receives a bigger boost from AP than eviscerate. Best of all, it isn't affected by armor. A high armor boss will reduce your eviscerates greatly, while rupture will be doing the same damage as usual.
  
  P.S. Rogues are the highest sustained damage dealers in the game. At equal gear and skill levels, a rogue should always be above another DPS class.

*i used this strategy, cheap shot > vanish > cheap shot ( now i have 5 combo points ) expose armor > gouge > bloodlust brooch > kidney shot > cold blood > mutilate add a thistle tea in after gouge if u want*

5% increased attackspeed on slice&dice is a nice bonus indeed an can in pve be counted almost as a permanent 5% increase in speed.
5% increased speed on autoattacks is for a combatrogue about 2,5% increased damage.

The 6% increased dmg on SS BS & mutilate is worth about 2% increased damage output for a combatrogue and 3% increased damage for a mutilaterogue.

So all in all, the setbonuses gives you another 5% increase damage output.

Well, don't think you'll get this armor as a sub rogue tbh. Guilds reaching these places need some nice combat dps love :)

1: This Isnt a pvp set, its a raid set! Bosses wont be blinking like a mage would!

2. SnD Is VERY helpful. Rogues would be at the bottom of the damage meter without it. It makes us hit fast, so we hit more.

Slice and dice rocks! 65% of actual dps is from the actuall weapon damage not sinister strike or backstab. SO im guessing u dont know how to play a rogue.

The set is great, can't say much more then that. Although cursed vision of sargeras is better then the helm, it's a godly set with godly bonuses.

In the 3d ModelViewer, it seems that the boots and belt are a matching Tier 5 Warrior Set. Pity that Blizzard didn't make ALL the Tier 6 armor have the same matching artwork. You guys should look at the 3dmv for Warrior's Tier 6, it just doesn't suit it.

dang this t6 gear is not nearly as good as arena gear ...the brutal set..?

Raiding and pvp are completely different mate.

Armor reduction is amazing.... and one of the best pve abilities in the game. 800 armor reduction equivicates to about a 6% increase in damage...
