i was grouping with one of my guild members at the pool;we were going in closer where most of the legion was so we went up to one of the altars i see him just standing there and ti thought it would be cool to face him because i have never seen an actual eredar in the game before and this would be my first fight with one. my friend  said that he was very tough but i decided to just do it anyway to see what would happen; so we go right up to him and start attackin' so we are getting up to about 70 to 75% of his health i heal my friend and the eredar runs right up to me and pwns me! but my friend killed him. so Ironhalo, when u said that he was tough...... U WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG AND I WAS WRONG!!!

I dunno about a full grp. I was able to easily take him down with a Mage, Hunter, and a Shadow Priest (healing). I was tanking myself as a Paladin.

If you are a paladin: Exorcism works very well. Also, change ur resistance aura based on wat he casts. his spells HURT ALOT!

61 sub rogue, 61 demo warlock, 62 enhance sham, 62 holy priest

Easy with that group, killed him twice.  Dropped nothing both times.

Not soloable as felguarded WL 70 with regular rare-equipment.

think its probably soloable as a hunter, tried once to kite him thru the back of the pools atm, got him to 50%, then let a pyro get me :(, stand > 36 yars away his volleys and pyro's dont hit you, keep pet on the adds till they despawn, might just be able to do it :)

Easily soloable as a 70 resto shaman.

Not sure what it is with this guy.

His regular hit is 300 with 50% reduction. When he crits it hits for 1300. wtf? It's kinda like a windfury, but it registers as one hit.

Anywho, just thought id mention that.

defeated him in a group of 2.  Lvl 70 holy priest, and lvl62 frost mage.  First I summoned my water elemental and positioned it opposite of me.  Priest shielded elemental and it took a few hits before I started casting.  After about 3rd frostbolt, my elemental was dead and the elite was heading to me, so activated ice barrier, mana shield, drank a stoneshield potion, activated "icy veins", while the priest shielded me, casted prayer of mending, and some other heal over time spell.  I brought him to about 50% health, all my shields were down and I was losing too much health, so I casted iceblock.  Once he was about 20 yards away, I canceled ice block and activated cold snap.  Repeated the same process minus the priest shield and prayer of mending.  I finally died when he had about 1% health, but the priest finished him off (Thank goodness).  Got rezzed and looted body for like 10 silver, nothing special.  Was a very memorable fight.

He is solo able as a prot warrior 70. Spell reflect was hitting him for 2200 on his pyros and his spells can be interrupted. 45% health at the end of the fight and I had no heals with me, so I am sure almost any capable 70 can solo him.
