Where does this drop/what quest is it from?

I did this with 2 rogues...me being 66 the other 65.

Entire quest line is pretty easy for a hunter.  The killing 30 each of mobs was kind of tedious but tracking helps out.  The elite clefthoof is soloable, easy to kite with cheetah.  I grouped up for the talbuk and the bird, didn't seem to be any easy way to kite them, immune to slowing effects I think.  They were too fast to just use cheetah on.  The last mob, Tusker is also kiteable.

If you want to do Tusker really easily alliance side kite her into the nearby town and the guards will kill her almost immeadiately.

Yes!  This gun is all it looks like!  My hunter did this quest with another hunter who loves his bows and he even put his bow away for this gun.  It looks awesome too!!  I can't wait for my warlock to get that wand too.

I'm at 63 now, at what lvl can I start the quest chain?

i did the 30 kill quests alone as a 64 bm hunter (easy, just boring).

for the elite quests, i tried kiting...but failed miserably.  every single one of the elites has an intercept/charge ability that screws you (since you have AotCheetah on).  i don't have the +6 yard range from the survival tree, so maybe that played a factor.

anyways, i grouped up with a 67 shammy and a 70 paladin...the rest was cake.  the gun is a nice upgrade from the green crossbow i got in hellfire peninsula.  >:D

really boring working up through the 180 kills you have to do to get to the elites, easy enough alone though since the first 3 parts are yellows, the next ones you just have to avoid getting 3 or 4 on you at once. Grouped up for the elites since i didnt really wanna kite & failed miserably on tusker just having 2 people, 64 hunter (me) and a 65 druid. Only problem was my pet wasn't aggroing like she should and he immidiately went for the healer, ah well, get another one on & try, try again

This is a very powerful weapon for such a relatively simple quest; two or three people can power through the entire Hemet quest chain in a few hours, or hunt the 3 final wussy elites and Tusker in 15 minutes.

Powerful enough for me to switch over from bows and spend some time at the Dark Portal pewpewing the 70 elites for gun skill.  I was doing almost the same amount of damage with level 40 ammo and this gun as I was with the crossbow from the group quest in Hellfire and Blackflight Arrows.

After 67 lvls of avoiding guns this one ruined it for me :[

I kited him and the elite Clefthoof to Telaar.  Just use AoTC, R1 Arcane and reapply Serpent Sting. The Guards dealt with him quickly.

Easy for a 65 hunter, turn growl on pet off, do distracting shot+arcanse shot and serpent sting, and kite her along the road, she was dead before i reached telaar.

If you cant find a group clear all the elleck to make a kite path and kite him back to telaar where you can get the help of 4 lvl 70 elite guards. :P

my old gun was the level 60 pvp epic with a +7 scope on it.  then i got hemet's elekk gun which has a few more dps points in the item description and... surprise, surprise... after equipping it and reading my ranged attack stat, without a scope the dps of the elekk gun is EXACTLY THE SAME (to the 1/100th of a dps point) as my old gun that has the +7 scope.  not joking, absolutely serious.  need to put a scope on the elekk gun for it to really be any better at all, aside from the slight increase in crit percentage.

also: the alliance has it so easy in nagrand, when it comes to solo kiting the final parts of the nesingwary quest chain.  bach'lor, banthar and tusker are so close to the alliance camp (telaar), any newbie with attention deficit disorder could kite the elites to that camp.  try kiting tusker through halaa and all the way across the zone to the horde camp (garadar)!  i never want to hear anyone complain ever again about flippin' level 14 defias pillagers being so unfair to alliance players... things like that are completely trivial compared to the scandalous tusker-kiting imbalance.

Soloed Tusker on my 68 BM Hunter without kiting. Took 6 or 7 tries before I got that perfect balance of crits and timely dodges from my pet. This gun is pretty swank for BM. I just wish it was a bow sos I could reap the benefits of being a Troll. This will last me until I can equip the Valanos in my bank.

i killed tusker as a 64 BM hunter + a 68 holy pala! pet tanks, pala heals and i do dps!

Completed this quest last night (lvl 68 MM Hunter) and I wanted to know if I should ditch http://thottbot.com/i18835 , High Warlord's Recurve for it. I love the speed with Recure (1.8), but I find it's lacking a little firepower (80 - 121 Damage). I am a Troll, so the extra Bow specialization is good, but I have not found a better bow than this one. Should I use Elekk Gun instead?
