    Core drops off the water elementals -- South I got none, even after I had killed about 20-30 water elementals/sea sprays. NONE.

    Then, north of the questgiver I got a core to drop nearly every kill.

      the north is a good spot. it may not be a great drop rate but it gives yoiu XP and i got some stuff to sell at the AH. Oh yea. the next part of this chain you gotta go get 6 more

      Confirmed. Spent about half an hour killing 30 past the river on the south shore and got about 1-2. Go directly north or south of the quest giver and kill there. Done in about ten minutes for my hunter.
