For the stingers just wander around the west side of Marshlight lake. I went only half way around before i was able to get all 6 of mine.

The co ords are right but the drop rating is terrible. For me first 20 kills...2 drops

Specially if you are alliance in a PvP server, go from 15,41 to 28,33 for more of those mobs. I had almost a 50% chance drop for those quest items, so maybe the others had bad luck.

This suggestion is perfect. Only took me about 25 minutes and the drop rate was a little low. Got xp also... :)

Just run Northewest from Sporegear along side of lake plent there and drop rate for me was 3 stingers for every four kills.

Yup, yet another oh-so-awesome-never-drop-what-you-need-quest from Blizzard that sucks. I'm really starting to get irritated with quests like these. I've spent way too long on this stupid quest.

Yeah, sure the xp is good esp if rested, I can see that argument but seriously it starts to get very boring and redunant.

As stated above. 20,30 has a MUCH higher droprate. I killed about 16 for my first 2 before getting pissed and looking here. Once i did i tried that spot and got the last 4 in 6 kills. So basically, go to 20,30 and it will take you 5-10 minutes.

And if killing 10 or so for 6 is too low a drop rate you shouldnt be playing this game. Its not like there are very many quests with 100% droprate so get used to it!

I didn't have so good droprate from the Marshlight Bleeder (24,54), so I tried some Fenglow Stingers and got the Venom from them to so I guess you can kill them both

Do this quest with the Diaphenous quest. It makes things easier when you get two quest items off one bug. The drop rate is horrible still though.

West side of Marshlight lake 15,42 Plenty of them there kept clearing the whole area everywhere else

Just go to Marshlight Lake and walk around it, killing every purple-butt bug you see. You have to kill a whole bunch, but you won't run short. I found them to be easy prey as a 63 feral druid.

hmm starting at 15,41 worked great for me. easly done as a 63 hunter.. and imo.. these bugs would be great pets. esp for those of u into alot of pvp.. i mean.. slows casting time.. and stops those rogues from hiding from ya.. comon blizz.. make them tameable!! lol

As has been said, the drop rate is horrible, but for what it's worth, I had a 20% drop rate from the level 62 variety as opposed to a 5%...that's right FIVE PERCENT drop from the level 63 variety

they dont only drop from bleeders they aslo drop from fenglow stingers

It's confusing when people give quests good drop rates and then others give it bad. I found that the venom dropped about every other kill, which isn't too bad. I guess it all depends. =/

I absolutely agree with all comments that refer to the drop rate on this quest being shit. It really really is.

ALL OF THE ABOVE COMMENTS R TURE...I WAS ABOUT TO GIVE UP AS WELL BUT CHECKED HERE AND THE D.R. is truly higher on the west/northwest side of marshlight lake. so don't give up till u try it there!!!

Another one of Blizz's BS kill and collect quest. There are so many of these moronic quests in the game it makes you want to punch a baby in the face. Ok I understand killing gets xp but when you spend an hour or better doing one stupid collect 6 quest, you're totally wasting your time. Increase the drop rate even a little for Gods sakes! You're better off dropping these quests and spending your time doing something besides collecting venom or spore bat eyes or tentacles. Why do you think NOBODY quests in Silithus? Bugs SUCK!

Kill them BEFORE they sting you. Killed 30~, only got 1/6, then killed five more without getting poisoned once, got 'em all 100%.

This is a really annoying quest... Took me about a hour 2 finish this quest. but it end up good in the end.... i found a spot that has a 100% drop rate!!!!! AWESOME!!!
