I'm currently Friendly with The Scryers, but I cannot get the quest from her yet.  By the way, she's the Bloodelf by the elemental bandage guy from the Constortium in Lower City.  Also near the Skettis, Rilak the Redeemed.

The basilisk at this location seem to have a pretty good drop rate, I didn't have any problems when doing it. Had a couple pretty nice green drops as well for some rings on +nature protection.

Aparently this is the only way to revert Aldor rep when you want to switch to Scryer. At the moment I am 1/2 Friendly with the Aldor, and about 1/2 Hostile with Scryers.

I'll be camped at this spot for quite some time. Too bad there aren't more gators along the water. I'm waiting near 5-10min for them to repop after I frag'em all.

unfortunately, by killing and getting the eyes, is the only way, to get from Aldor to Scryers.
I made that mistake, so now om killing, and collecting. Actually, it doesnt take that much time. Use a couple of hours on it, and u will have Scryers.

Completing this quest will increase your Scryer rep by 250 and decrease your Aldor rep by 275.

Dampscale basilisks are around most of the rivers in Terrokar.  Just keep working you way around and you shouldn't have to wait for respawns.  There are some "bare" spots but I found them pretty much all over.  My suggestion is start at the coord's noted above and just work your way around.

Also - if you are flush with cash there are usually some available for sale in the AH - not cheap but a nice way to shorten the cycle if you can afford it.

I'm an Exalted ALdor that is now switching. I've spent ~an hour farming for a grand total of 40 eyes.  at this rate I'll need to farm 32.5 hours longer to reach neutral.  So switching factions is NOT for the faint of heart.  Also, any gold farmers that farm these should totally put bigger quantities on the AH for me to buy :-D.

I didn't realize turning in a fel armament would hurt my scryers rep so i found myself hostile and was looking for a way to get my scryers rep back to neautral, went to the quest giver and couldn't get the quest.

All u have to do is do the quest City of Light, where u follow dude's servant around the city.

Once you have completed that quest u get to choose which side you would like to ally yourself with, the scryers or the aldor.  It instantly puts u to friendly with the one you chose and hostile with the side u didn't.

im trying to go from slight aldor rep and unfriendly with scyers to gain rep with scryers this chick wont give me a quest or anything just says... Can you beliece it? This ethereal dose not have a single basilisk eye on him ect....

I accidently turned in the first Aldor quest thats it. Can i come back from this?

For those that are trying to gain rep - but  start off as either Draenei or Blood Elf....  you may notice that your rep for the opposing faction starts off as hated or unfriendly.  For draenei trying to go scryer - it seems that not only can you not do the tour quest (cause Kadgar's pet wont spawn even if you can get the quest) you can't get the quest to do eyes initially either. One must first turn in a Fel Armament in the Aldor Temple so our negative scryer faction shows up in our rep log.  Once you turn it in, you will be able to complete the tour, and then do the eye quest to revert the faction.  Thank you Blizzard for making us go double negative before we can actually do a quest to gain any faction at all with the Scryers.

the cords at the first comment is comfirmed... but they qst items deon dropp to often... u might kill 5 of them whitout any dropp :S... so it may take some time.

I don't know, but.. I got those 20 on 25 minutes.. It's bad or...? I have still Scryers rep on hostile so i have to farm much, much more Basilisk Eyes..

Hey, I found that there is a really really good drop rate around 38, 13. For those of you that don't have Co-ords, its northeast right out of Shattrath, its between 2 big hills. Oh and also the venom sac have a really good drop rate there too.

got a horrible drop rate everywhere i went but i guess i really have no choice :P skinning-> decent knothide leather drop rate which sells for 8-10g a stack on my server so at least im getting that out of it

these can also be sold/bought on AH, just bought 15 for ~8g, gl

uuhh if i already did the aldor quest in SMV and area 52, are they unavailable once i go scryer?

wont you be unfriendly of both factions on the way to neutral...

i mean.. if u are revered/exalted with aldor and u get like -275 each time and only 250...  shouldn't you reach both unfriendly before reach neutral?

dunno if it meters but... if thats right u'll cannot use both banks for some time...

So, be sure you really want be Scryer before start it once you are revered or exalted with Aldor.

I am a horde and i choosed aldor (Due to half drunk and half asleep) and now that im enchanting i don't wanna be aldor so i have farmed these for about an hour and now im scryer

lol I did this quest not knowing that it was for scryers rep >.>
either way I got like 11000 XP from it so I don't really care now

oh yeah another thing is that if you don't want to go farm these, you can buy them in the AH for pretty cheap because they aren't quest items

This may be different for people on different realms (Thorium Brotherhood here) but they can be bought and sold through the AH or trade so that's my advice on it

I found the dampscale basilisk's at roughly 39, 14.. just north west of the cenarion thicket in the mountains.. I went to 62, 29 like other confirmed is where the drops were.. maybe you're using a diff mod, but that's way far off.. anyway, if that's the case, I'm using cartographer. It's never happened before to be so far off from coords offered here before though. The one's at 62, 29 don't drop the eyes... I tried quite a few of them just in case before wandering around on my own to find where these guys actually were.

Maybe if you are already friendly with the Scryers you can't do the quest. Just a thought =)

I'm unfriendly with  Scryer, level 70 and can't get this quest from Arcanist Adyria - any suggestions???

Just tried to pick up quest from Adyria, so far unavailable.

What I know:
Quest is unavailable at unfriendly/scryes, neutral/aldor;
Quest is unavailable at hostile/scryes, friendly/aldor

Will post more as I advance through rep with aldor. Need to switch to scryes, it's amazing to me this has not been touched on yet, as far as when in rep status this quest becomes available.
