I just won this in kara over 2 other hunters...I was happy for about 1 minute then i realized the belt i had from Shattered Halls was beter...I can only see this being used for Resto *Or elemental?* Shamans and maybe for hunters that have very low mana/5

This belt is......well it's one of the best Shardtastic spec belts in the game!

Sure it's not something you'll always want to be wearing as a hunter, but 'cause of the intellect and the quite large amount of mana/5 it's a great belt to use for mana intensive fights or long fights combined with BoW and AotV.

And we roll for drops in Karazhan anyway, was the only one that could use it ;)

I just got this last night and since we only use DKP in 25 man or over instances , it didn't cost me anything. I agree it's not something you'd want to wear all the time, but maybe after long fights while you're not doing much for a while--lol.  I only use AoTV when my mana bar gets down to about 1/3 and it looks like I might run out, never at the start of a fight. No way this belt should be an epic and you're right, the Gale force belt is better.

We had this drop off trash pre-patch a while back. two hunters(myself and another) we D/E'd it. I already have enough combat mp/5 for my taste/playstyle. hey guess what, why not get some damn MP/5 oil for ur weapon(s), learn to not go OOM and get something with good AP on it. another thing any hunter must think about is that you will do better with AoTH on AT START(yah i said it, yah i do it) for ur intial openers(MD to get the tank a bigger agro lead noobs; helps rest of the DPS kick in faster) after that go into AoTV to regen for about 15 seconds, then go back to hawk(it'll cover the cost) and go back to all out, if you get to half, mana pot, if you get to half again, AoTV and calm down for 2 or 3 shot cycles, then go back to all out...just the way i do it, at the end of a fight like prince or w/e ill be at about 1/4 mana, but i could be at full if i wanted. i just decide to use it all asap when i feel like it. just control ur mana pool and dont get this belt ^_^

not bad for sv hunter (neglects int for agi/crit) who doesnt get the INT bonus found in marks tree and never uses viper, but pots instead... with alch stone and fel mana pot i never gimp my DPS using viper, can use hawk all the time... this belt can help with the mana regen with less potting


so not completely useless

its a purple...hence everyone thinks its great and better than any blues they might have...which is so not true when you compare it to blessed scale girdle http://thottbot.com/i29180 which you can buy when you're revered with the sha'tar. I was the only hunter so they gave it to me but I wouldnt use it outside of mana intensive fights like curator.

if you dont look at the armor which doesnt really matter for a hunter anyway then you lose 48 AP but gain 15 mana per 5 sec....is it worth it? Blessed Scale girdle for soloing and 5 mans and I suppose Belt of the Tracker for mana intensive fights but even then I'd say its debatable.

I have this belt on my enhancement shaman, yet I don't use it. The raid leader gave it to me cuz they would rather give it to someone than shard it.

However it sucks. 15 mana per 5, well hooray. We have shamanistic rage. In raids where you have 2,2k AP, this means a chance to restore 330 mana per melee attack. And if you are dual wielding (which you should), you can easily restore your full mana pool. With the 2 minutes cooldown on SR, you should never be out of mana.

Don't waste your waist slot on this. There are better (non epic) belts out there.
