I was thinking iron forge
ok during beta i was a dwarf priest .. i wanted to learn staffs so i checked with the weapons master in ironforge. Sadly i was not able to learn daggers or staffs, does anyone know if i need to learn this skill somewhere special or have they taken this skill away from dwarf priests?
Weapon master in Stormwind can train staves for Alliance players.
I was wondering if anyone knew what lvl I need to arm my Warlock with a Staff or Wage and where to get it, I'm almost lvl 10 and I have two staffs and a wand , that I have been saving to wait and use.
Who said that you come with the skills to use daggers and staves when you are a priest? You are crazy, you have to learn the skill for a staff in the thunderbluffs. This post is faded because it has a negative score.
As a troll priest I could only use Maces and Wand at the start, I had to learn Staves (and also Daggers) at Orgimmar. The trainer there said I could also learn some of these weapons at Thunderbluff and the Undercity too.
I don't really like the Mace or the Dagger (not very preistly) so I'm sticking with the Staff.
i,m a lvl 7 preist what lvl do i get to use wands? This post is faded because it has a negative score.
Warlocks, just ask the guards for weapons trainers and one of them does staves (10 Silver). Disappointing skill IMHO, Swords are more effective if near range is REALLY neccesary...
The alliance players can learn staves from the trainer in Stormwind
I recently started a priest and was looking into weapon usage. At level 1 my priest came equipped with a mace and ready to use. I, as all humans, have mace and sword specialization under my abilities. When I gained level 6 I went to Goldshire and talked to the weaponsmith there. He has swords 1h & 2h, axes 1h & 2h, maces 1h & 2h, daggers and staves for sale. The level requirements on all of them are 3 & 4 so being level 6 I should be able to use them all. The only one that I can buy is the 1h mace. All the other weapons are "red" meaning I can't use or buy them. Priests do not start off with dagger and staff useage. I then checked under my weapons skils tab (duh) and found the following list:
- Defense - Mace - Unarmed - Wands Still level 6 I then went up to Stormwind and checked with the Weapon Master there Woo Ping. He can be found in the Trade District at Weller's Arsenal, just ask a guard. He was willing to train me in dagger and in staff, but it cost 10 silver each. I am assuming a priest could train in each at level 1, but who has 10 silver at level 1? The bottom line is priests start with 1h mace, unarmed and wands. They can also immediately train in dagger and staff, but it will cost you 10 silver each. Hope this helps.
Could somone tell if daggers or staves/wands are better for priests?
heres how it works. I know this from my nightelf priest but it should work this way for all priests. You start out holding a 1h hammer and you have the skill to use 1hand mace weapons and wands. daggers im not sure about i never saw a reason to use one. Staves is not a starting skill and if you want to use a staff, the alliance trainer for staves is in Darnassus of Teldrassil, not Ironforge like most people think. Personally i would suggest all priests use staves. The reason for this is that nearly all good staves have stat bonuses to the things you need such as intellect. If you learn to use staves you will usually find a weapon easily that has the stats you need so holding a staff will help you even if you never attack with the staff the whole game. OK i have a fridge load of questions.
Are there such things as one handed staves and two handed? Can priests dual-wield? Is there "ammo" for wands? what do they mean by holy/disc priest and shad/disc priests? do they mean only training those type of spells of what? Thanks This post is faded because it has a negative score.
Use Staves,but...buy them from the auction house, because the only good reason to have staves is usually they boost spell power,or something like that...So,if u are mana addict, use staves. If They have no enchantment though, and they are stronger and u have some spare cash, buy it.. always check the DPS,the DMG in paranthases...i will make an example and cut out the DPS...this real wepen,i use it =P
