why would you ever do backstab when you have ambush?

if i, and like i do, have the choice between garrote and ambush, which one would be more effective? both can be done outta stealth, so go back a page if you're not sure about garrote, but which is better????
Well Im not sure about that one but i know that my rogue has been trained in swords, so he uses them instead of daggers. am i better off buying daggers over swords and having this move or not??? i know that with swords too , i also cant use backstab, which kinda sucks, along with the some other moves i do believe.
Guys ambush is awful in pvp. You have to have a dagger in your main hand, and swords are useially better becuase they deal more damage. Besides cheap shot is about 1000 times better
in pvp i mostly cheapshot
en in group's or solo a mob i just ambush sometimes i cheapshot them :P it's how i feel like killing them :P
my rogue is lvl 40 and his critical is only between 400 and 650 with a dagger that has 27-39 stat's
you see it's pretty useless and i totaly disagree with using 2x sword have 1 dagger 1 sword or mace (what ever you want) just get a macro then when you press tab you switch the weapon's so that your sword is in main hand and dagger in the off hand, and switch back to do backstab when you are in party.
wtf? and you're that high of a level? my 23 rogue criticals for 350...
