I took the bird from TM to Revantusk Village. The location of the spiders is 35,64 in the Hinterlands. I killed 12 got the sac finally, went back to Revantusk Village and took the bird to TM. Very easy quest, I'm a 46 Hunter, did it solo
The quest is rly easy but drop rate and respawns of the spiders suck :(
i got it in 3 kills too. Sorry for those who took two hours on it.
the spiders are located in Shadra'Alor which is west of the altar of zul in case anyone was looking for the location.

I killed almost every spider (and their spawned offspring) in the walled area around the pyramids for nearly two hours and received no drop of this quest item. This stupid quest sucks because the drop rate is so bad. I did manage to harvest some Sungrass on my way, though. But seeing other player posts stating they got it from the first spider really has me ticked. (solo level 47 mage).
Took me like 50 kiils.. Seriously. :S The droprare is 0.8%
The drop rate is currently at 0.8%. I got it on my third spider but think...
The drop rate is for ALL people killing these things. A lot of people arent actually on this quest so it wont drop for them. The drop rate is skewed and shouldnt really be used as a true judge here.

In tanaris there is a bunch of quests, one of them is to kill pirates and collect 20 hats, im a warrior, and i was with a priest, we grinded there for well, WELL over 2 hours, both leveled from it all, worst, droprate, EVER.

Strange that some report getting the venom sac on the first drop, and others like me took a very long time to get the drop. So be prepared if you embark on this quest that it could take a while. At least for me, I was Rested and gained about 500xp per spider. Level 44 Warlock with Succubus.
I'm the second person who yes... killed a TON of spiders, but also looted a Flurry Axe off of one of them. Well worth it!

Kill the Witherbark Broodguard spiders. Horrible drop rate, may take 20 - 30 kills before you get the sac.

I killed bout 15 and got the sac. Didnt realize there was a timer so i found out i lost it, went back, and i have seriously killed over 100 spiders and no second drop. I dunno wtf is going on.
I found this quest quite easy. Took me 12 spiders to loot the sac, and returned it to TM with 23 mins to spare.
Tips - Stick to the road when going back to Revantusk Village to fly to TM. Or a more simple way, Make TM your home so you can just hearth when you've looted the venom sac.

please make sure you remember that there is a duration on it...i thought my quest was bugged when I picked the item up, went questing for a while, went to hand in an hour later and it wasn't in my bag. Then I checked on Thott. There is no quest timer box comes up on screen like I assumed. The item has a duration, I found this when emptying bags, I have never jumped on a bat to Tarren Mill so quickly in all my life!
Must have killed 20+ before it dropped. The venom sac has a 30 minute timer on it so be careful to hand it in asap. As you can imagine, cos the stupid thing took so long to drop for me I raced to hand it in - just in case :)
This stupid quest took me forever to do! I almost had to give up until I found it. I soloed it as a 47 Tauren Druid mainly in Cat form so luckily for me the kills went quick. Everyone else who is reading this it may take time to get the sac but you wil eventually get it. Never give up. Just think of all the xp you will earn killing all the spiders then handing the quest in.

The quest says it must be VERY FRESH...
The quest states there is a time to get it back or it is no good. You've got to get it to the quest giver right after you get it or it will disappear.
if you are under leveled remember that they cant attack you in water. A couple times i had a bad pull and i just jumped in the water
Got mine on first kill at 37, 64.
It took me about 4 hours to have this stupid thing drop, its a really bad drop rate and when it did i found out its only a 30 minute duration so take it back to tauren mill right away
I did this quest 2 times. First time as usual I didn't read the description and timer on the item expired :) Then I noticed a note that the thing "should be fresh". So I had to do it again. But in both cases it took me no more then 10 spiders to get the item. Guess it's just a matter of luck.
Lol This quest made me think blizzard hates me!
The drop rate sux on this (I think it maybe to do with your lvl thats my suspicion)

First spider dropped it at 37,65.
Getting in and out of the FP past the stealthed wolves is the hardet bit.
Haha... i literally just got the sac... and my inventory was full. Ive been here like 30 minutes already killing spiders...drop rate still sucks
I got the venom sac pretty fast but I wasn't ready to go back to TM so I didn't pick it up I left it on the corpse because you only have 30 min. to get it back to TM. After filling my bags and finishing another quest there with the winterbark trolls I started killing spiders and spiders and spiders but no drop. So I went back to the same spider that gave me the first drop and Bam. He is right at the foot of the steps that go up to the alter(there are 3 sets)on the right corner is a skull or lamp or somthing unique I can't remember. That is the spider that droped for me twice in a row. Don't forget that you only have 30 min. to get back after you pick it up.
How did you find out there was a 30 min timer on this thing? What a pain - I got it once and it expired, but I thought I had accidentally destroyed it, so I just went and tried again, and the same dang thing happened. There really ought to be a quest timer, or a mention of the 30 min time limit in the quest description.
I mean, the Apothecary does say to hurry, but most quest givers do >:(
Got it 7th kill, to TM in 5 mins with mount, very easy quest, but from what I've read here I was one of the lucky ones.
went to Shadra'Alor (35,64) and got it on first kill. I wasnt even coming here to do that quest, but i guess its more xp! :D

You have to get back to the guy in Tarren Mill within 30 minutes of picking up the venom sac.
Two kills and it dropped.
HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I KILLED A LOT OF THESE AND IT FINALLY DROPPED AFTER I KILLED A LOT. DURRRRRRRRR. I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WOULD WANT TO KNOW SINCE NO ONE HAS SAID THIS.
I gave up after killing those #%^@ spiders for an hour and a half with no drop. and YES I had the quest.
