anyone know if you can use this over and over or just once? This post is faded because it has a negative score.
How do you obtain this item?
standing next to the now redeemed celebras and all he does is talk about something.. i cant get any quest from him for scepter... where does this chain start and how can i get him to give it to me? (baby..uh huh uh huh!)
can this item be gain again if people accidently drop it?
because i drop mine and i want to know if i can get it back
now i am not 100% on this but i believe that if you talk to the dryad in Maraudon orange she will give you another scepter, it is the same as a hearthstone or any other BoP item you get thru a quest, like the Onyxia key, you talk to the right NPC's in the game and they will give you new ones.
After you get the two halves, and you defeat (redeem) him, keep talking to him. He will lead you to the alter or stone. Keep talking to him. He will say some more stuff. Keep right clicking on him til you see the scepter in your possesion. I stopped one click too soon because my group was getting really antsy to go kill the princess. I did not get the scepter, and now I don't think I can.... :(
where do u use the stupid scepter. i cant find where to use it
Ok here is how to use this Scepter of Celebras. When you enter Maraudon - first landmark is the two-flight switchback stairs. Once at the bottom - you will see the purple area on your left and the orange area on your right. There is a passageway in the middle with two Centaur statues - go down that passageway and follow it until it deadends. You will see the Spirit of Kolk - <The First Kahn> and behind him is the square portal area with lamps on the four corners. Good luck)
Patch 3.0.8 has turned this Scepter into an actual staff. It used to teleport your party to Earth Song Falls halfway through Maraudon by using it at the beginning of the instance, but now it's a soulbound, rare, lvl 53, two-handed staff. Bummer.
Yeah, I was questing in Tanaris last night and went to vender the trash I'd collected and was surprised to see a blue quality staff in my bag. Took me a while to figure what had happened. But it was just the right time for me as I don't think I'll be headed back to mauradon anyway.
After destroying this, i was able to get a new one months later from one of the goblins in the sewers of Dalaran. He was near the poison vendor I believe.
Edit: Pazik"The Pick"Prylock in the Black Market(Dalaran Sewers) is the one who gave it to me. But, after destroying it again for the second time, he wont give me another.
Y cant I disenchant or sell this item?
Ok so Wowhead says a person can very easily get a new Scepter of Celebras by talking to Celebras and telling him u lost it. Because of how easy it is to receive, it cannot be sold or disenchanted. 3/4/2009
I got the Scepter on my banker alt whom I level intermittantly. (A mage I just levele to 49.) Someone mentioned that it required level 53 to equip, but my mage was using it at 48 so that is not so.
Yes, I was rather surprised when I found this in my bag one day. It is neat that Blizzard changed the stats for it. For my alt's level, I can't easily find something better at my level. Now I just have to get it enchanted...
I just got this staff on 17 May 2009 and, being a rogue, cannot use it. When I tried to destroy it, the game made me type the word "DELETE" before it would let me scrap it. Then I talked to redeemed Celebras afterwords and he gave me another one. I hearthed over to Stormwind and try to sell it to a vendor but none of them will take it. I'm assuming that if you can't use this staff, it is worthless.
It appears this is just a weapon now and no longer ports you.
