The Zandalar tribe lives on an island northwest of STV. If you look on the map, there is a tiny island directly north of the island near The Vile Reef (The island where the elementals are). This island is where the Zandalar tribe resides, called Yojamba Isle.

On a side note, directly north of it lies the huge door that the ship in the Deadmines is behind.

( to person directly above me) notice he said ally . Meaning Grom'Gol doesn't work.

However, at the point of your question, there was no flightpath for alliance other than Booty Bay. There wasn't an inn either. This meant that you could either Logout in the middle of the jungle. The flightpoints closest to Rebel Camp/Nesingwary's Camp were Darkshire (duskwood) and booty bay (stv). I usually flew in to duskwood and had to run from there.

In patch 2.something.something, they added a flightpath to Rebel Camp (Northern Tip of STV, west of main road).

So you can log out or go some where else, and fly in to rebel camp.

Hope this clears stuff up for ya

This is my personal experience. When I came to SV, I was lv37. (Maybe lv36) My level is too high for "welcome to the jungle" quest, so there is no exclaimation mark on the guy. Welcome quest is what someone calls a pointer quest that leads to a chain of quests. In this case, multiple chains of quests. So I wasted almost 2 days in SV wondering why quest lv increases significantly between rebel camp and booty bay.

So don't make the same mistake! If your lv is 37 or higher, manually go talk to "Barnil Stonepot" in the expedition camp to start the "welcome to the jungle" quest. This pointer quest leads to three mystery quests and one final big tiger showdown.

Same rules go to croc chain of quest. The first part of croc is lv30 so a lot of high 30 players will not get it. But the last part of croc is a lv38 elite. So ... croc quest chain starts in booty bay though.

The span of lv requirement is certainly one thing im not fond of SV zone. Raptor mystery begins with lv30-31 and goes all the way to lv43 elite. And the travel distance in SV is just brutal without a mount. I'm an alliance, I think horde maybe better off since they have an extra flight point up north in SV.

To sum things up, be prepared to travel a lot when questing in SV.

This is the instance. Like no other. This is the one.
Doing the quests and grinding just a bit it is possible to obtain a dozen levels witout ever leaving.
Best entered in your low 30's, pal up with say one other and do the upper STV quests. Once you pass your mid 30's and start to obtain 37-38 lvl, make the run for booty-bay, again pal up with maybe 2 now. and complete the BB quests. As you go up in level, more quests in booty bay will become available. With some grinding, like I said, you can go from level 32 to level 44 all in the Vale.
The only sad part is there is NO alliance griffen landing in STV. Only a shared landing in Booty Bay, the next closest griffen roost is in DUSKWOOD! This makes for some LONG runs until you have purchased a mount.

Seemed like every twenty minutes I'd have to go get my mage to blow the shit out of another horde at the Expedition camp. This place left me hating horde players so much, that I now kill pretty much every horde I run into, just in the hope that some of them are the alts of the jackasses that butcher 30s all day long there. FYI, in 2.3, Alliance finally have a FP to the Rebel Camp. For those who don't know, its right before you enter STV.

I agree, unless you are in a group, or at least lvl 38 (w/ pet or demon) or lvl 40 anything else, soloing STV is going to get real tough.  Try Duskwood till you hit lvl 40 then you can take on STV quests, as long as you do the easier quests first (Green).

On a side-note, for hunters this is a really good place to get new pets, or learn new abilities to add to your training list.  The most popular pet seems to be the lvl 41 Elite Cat called King Bangladesh.  He comes with claw 6 and dash 2, which is always good.  Also, if you want kitty to be able to sneak up on people invisibly, most people would tame the shadowmaw (i think thats the name..) panthers.  These panthers have Prowl 1, which is cool and all, but if you want the best abilities for your pet, go to the island NE of Booty Bay (the island with the giant king kong-like gorilla).  There are jaguars on this island that have Prowl 3.  Tame em and keep em for a while till you learn the ability yourself, then dump them and train your pet with Prowl 3.  Invisible kitties Rock!

                      2 more quick notes:

                      1)  King Bangladesh comes with about 52-55 dps.  He is a mages nightmare in BG but be careful.  He uses claw so much he drains his energy as soon as he gets it.  I would suggest casting claw manually instead of him doing it automaticly.  This leaves you energy for your cat to dash or growl to take aggro onto himself =]

                      2)  Dont bother training the Shadowmaw leader Bhag'thera.  He sucks.  He doesnt even have prowl lol.. hes fast but his DPS is lower than King Bangs, and so isnt everything else it seems.  Go for king bang.

I have a lvl 56 Hunter and ive used king bang since lvl 41 :)  once u get this pet theres really no reason to get another one unless youre attempting to learn their abilities to teach to banger.

Hope this helps! Ya this should have most likely gone into a Hunter/Pet topic, but hunters that are new to STV could really use this info.  Enjoy!

The Alliance FP in STV is at the road in north, same road that takes to Duskwood. It took alot of time for me to get there, because i didnt follow the road, so FOLLOW THE NORTHERN ROAD TO DUSKWOOD (its at right if ur coming from Duskwood).

I got my first Epic item in STV, the same day I hit lvl 40 :) :)  i got it from the ogres at the Mosh'ogg Ogre Mound.  It was a shield that ended up selling for 189 gold in AH.  That paid for my mount and then some.  The WoW Gods were definately smiling on me that day!!!  w00tw00t

I didnt see the epic drop I got on any of the ogre's drop lists.  Maybe its a new addition?  Worth checking out though.  Didnt take me long to get it =]

I'd avoid this place if you're in your low 30's, unless you have a higher level with you or are a Rogue and can use stealth to sneak around. It's usually crawling with higher level Alliance guys who just lurk around and gank low level Horde guys and most of the creatures are in the upper 30's. I mean, there's some good quests and exp there, but it's quite frustrating getting killed every 5 minutes. Just be careful or, like I said, bring a higher level friend if you choose to go.

PS: For all you Alliance whining about Horde ganking you, you have NO room to talk.
In BB I get ganked about 20 times within 10 minutes by level ?? AF who just hang out there and kill low levels, same with the Expedition Camp.
Then to add insult to injury some will camp at your corpse and kill you the minute you res, heck some will even hang out at the grave yard and kill you there.

Really, just leave each other alone and let people do theit thing.

(this is on a regular server too...)

An upcoming patch,2.4.3,will enable the use of 60% mounts at level 30 for 35g. Cheaper and lower. I like it.

Anyway, back on topic. With mounts at 30,players will be able to reach farther places in STV and possbily avoid ganking. Now when some idiot tells ya to talk to Gabrizzlenizzle in Booty Bay,youll be able to get there in the half the time it usually takes on foot.

                    it's not a downside for a zone.

why people shouldnt gank lowbies when they hit 70 and get good gear, when they have been ganked all the way till the top.
this game is based on ganking.
                    lvl till 70>get ganked
70>start gank until the horde, chicken as every horde are, calls ONE HUNDRED UNDEAD ROGUES that kill you in one single ambush. them call all your friends and ta dah, a beautiful battle in the jungle.

                    WE'LL NEVER GIV'UP.we'll never die.
