NEW! Wrath of the Lich King! (October 3)   NEW! Project Lore Episode 10.2

Q:What do the numbers mean in the set bonus listing?
A:The set bonus listing looks something like this:

3: Gives +15 attack when fighting Fooples.
5: Chance to /laugh with every hit.
8: Enables God mode when dead.

What this means is if you wear 3 pieces of the set, you will get the bonus "Gives +15 attack when fighting Fooples".  If you wear 5 pieces, you get both the "Gives +15 attack when fighting Fooples" effect and the "Chance to /laugh with every hit" effect.  If you wear 8 pieces, you get all three.
Q:Do I have to wear the pieces in order to get the bonuses?
A:Nope!  If it says you need to wear 3 pieces to get the effect, you can wear any three pieces of the set and you will get that effect.
Q:How come you have set information for sets that have never been completed in game?
A:Magick!

Ok, perhaps not magick.  It turns out all the set information is kept client side, so it's easy to get.

I've always been of the opinion that the only data that should be on the net is data that can be obtained in game.  This is why I prefer to use Lua to obtain information, since anything given to Lua is visible in game.

Unfortunately, any lack of data on this site is seen as an opportunity by other sites to gain competitive advantage.  Then I start getting questions like "why don't you show data X?  Site Y does!  Your site sucks!"  and we can't have that.
