In Warcraft II Gilneas is a Human nation that does not join the Alliance of Lorderan that included the kingdoms of Kul' Tiras, Stromgarde, Alterac ( the betrayers ), the remnents of the main Azeroth kingdom, Dalaran, and several others. However Gilneas was not supposed to be friend to the horde saying they would meet the horde blade for blade. I dont remeber WC3 involving Gilneas at all or far into the WC3 FT campaigns i didnt hear anything. So it will be interesting too see what they put there.

Gilneas did eventually join the alliance in the second war... However, they left almost as soon as the Horde had been defeated. Apparently rather than face the undead Scourge, Genn Greymane walled in his nation. When they do open the area, I imagine that there will be Gilneas humans there, neutral (with reputation building quests, of course) to the alliance, but implacably hostile to the Horde.

Meh. Azmodaan.
Anyways, the way over the Greymane Wall, which I found a couple months ago, is actually quite simple. If you look at the west side of the wall, there's a chip in it where the rampart has crumbled. Jump into that chip from the mountainside. Now you're on the Greymane Wall, and from here the rest should be easy. But be warned... once you get in, there's no way out.

There is a forge in that cursed village below Shadowfang: Pyrewood?
Be warned - by day the towns' folk are human (green to alliance), but BY NIGHT - they turn into were-wolf vulpine humaniods - 13-15 elites (red)! Lot's of Horde come here I think and it's contested -not sure how it works but be careful even if you are on a RP server. Hell fun and spooky. I got jumped by a hunter who's arse is now hanging on my wall=) PS - the Greyman? wall has ONE VENDOR by the gate - a blind arnourer fellow with lots of good weapons for low seasons ~10-15? Buggered if I know how a low season could ever get there safely without a watchful and kindly escort!
I'm a 16 hunter and im wondering if this place is contested. By the way im Alliance. I'll run thu Hillbrad.Plz tell me.

Today I ventured behind the Greymane Wall
to my surprise there was NOTHING there! beyond the trees and the path you see from the gate, there is grass followed by dirt and then mountains (a 90 degree angle from the ground...pretty much to keep everyone out) its not even worth the time finding your way up, but i'll be sure to post a tutorial on how to later... Thottbot says that there are schools of oily blackmouth in this area, but it's not specified where, on the map. Any idea were they're usually found? Decrepit Ferry? Shining Strand?

In pyrewood village there are tons of green drops that u can disenchant and sell expensive at AH...
The Greymayne Wall can be found on the map in the Silverpine Forest area at 43.80 Level 18 - 25. If you go to Pyrewood Village and take the path off to the left before you enter the village and go down around the back of Pyrewood you will be there.
Here's how I got over it, but it required my epic mount.
Facing the gate, go left until you see the part of the wall that has a large part broken away. Then, you have to ride up the mountain-side just next to it (on the right), mount up, and jump onto the ledge of the wall. From there, move left and jump onto the wall itself, and then continue through. Getting further requires corner-jumping. You'll learn what that is eventually, if you haven't already. To get out, use the same technique, from step 1, on the left side of the gate (when facing it from INSIDE) and corner-jump yourself back over the wall. I just finished reading posts about where to jump over, and how it was impossible to get back once you were in, and I just successfully got in and out, no porting or hearthing needed.
1. On the west (right) side of the wall there will be a large tree that hugs the wall. Between the tree and the wall keep jumping and tapping forward (no mount) until you reach a ledge in the wall. Run to the leftmost part of this ledge and through the crack to be ontop of the greymane wall.
2. On the east and southmost part of this platform jump diagonally (left and forward) so as to clear the gap. You should land next to a cornerpart of the greymane wall. 3. From this corner, Walk across the ledge that will be on your left and then jump as far forward as possible. Then itch your way up between the wall and the hill by jumping and tapping forward. 4. OMG! (NB: You can get back out the same way using your mount to clear the gap back onto the ledge) greymane wall by soupkid, Score 0.00 i need help by chosen1, Score -0.58

The Graymane wall is sorta cool.
heres how to get in 1- Go to where the gate is, walk right of that untill you get to a big tree 2- jump around the tree untill theres a small ledge right beside you 3- walk across the ledge, there will be a crack in the wall where u can jump into, there is an invisible wall, but if u r a mage, walk across the wall, then blink 4- u can do this part without a mount, but it needs slow fall, get to a part in the wall where u can safely jump beyond the hole, left of the crack in the wall 5- dismount(if u r mounted) and jump into the hole infront of u, its pretty easy to jump up the crack to the other side of the wall there ya go! theres pretty much nothing there tho. ive tried to get out with no success ='( ah well
I just got behind the Greymane Wall, and yes there is nothing there. The way to get out is to climb the wall to the east of the gate (where the pass between the mountains is) It's really simple.
It didn't require any mount or blinking (only a lvl 16 priest). All I did was mountain climb a few of the mountains to the east of the wall. The rest was just walking. Add Comment
