Yeah, but it's nowhere near anything. As soon as you come into Azshara from Ashenvale, it'll be to the right of the path. Not far at all. It's a small encampment. There is a Tauren there that gives you a pair of easy quests tho.

Report them when you see suspicious (bot-like) behaviour. Getting the banned on a regular basis will minimise their profit and make goldfarming less attractive.
this place is amazing for grinding
at 47 i grinded the ghosts near the alliance fp until i was 53 in hardly any time at all, lots of greens, the occasional blue and a crap load of mageweave. at 53, started grinding the legashi demons for good XP, nice runecloth, not bad felcloth, great silver, greens, blues, and the rare epic. the XP i was getting per mob wasnt the BEST, but because the mobs went down so incredibly fast, i was making more XP per hour. great place for mageweave/runecloth/felcloth/silver/xp boring.. by Knightgil, Score -0.70 moonwell by zanaxxdu, Score -1.8

To get throught the timbermaw hold you only need the unfriendly status. The neutral status is needed to do some quests, mostly from items that drop for which you get some major mana/health potions, some money and not too bad exp :)

Okay, you go to Ashenvale and take the road east from Splintertree post and follow that as it takes you east, then north past the warsong lumber mill, you then head east across a bridge into Azshara. The flightpath is a little ways in on the left side of the road right before you reach the ruins, look around in that area and you can't miss it. The guy that ports you to the tower is just to the east of the little horde camp.

The old comments about farmers are pretty accurate as to what's happening now. After the recent crackdown it is almost impossible to find anything on AH. I'm glad gameplay is fairer to those of us who choose to get gold on our own, but it almost pales in comparison to the price jumps and item shortages in AH. Can anyone tell me if it's easier to buy Soul Dust from a neutral AH or from your faction now with the lack of farmers?
Indeed, I found a bot there! I started tagging the enemies as he targeted them to get the xp, but eventually he just attacked a bit and continued. Oh well. I thought about pulling one of the elite giants over to him to see if he'd attack it, but I die too quickly.
The Horde flight path, if it isn't defined clearly enough before, is to the north east from the entrance from Ashenvale, north and slightly east of the old ruins where the Satyr are (the pink demons). It's almost against the mountains. Very small, but you can sell, repair, and buy food and drink there at least.

this is one of my favorite zones. It's so varied and complicated, sort of like a real life place.
Most zones are flat and boring, but this place has completly different subzones, plus all the naga castles could be like an instance in themselves. To all who have wondered about the forlorn ridge:
After a long and annoying period of time going all the way around the forlorn ridge and going up every single scalable cliff, I finally found a way in. I was disappointed when I found nothing worth the time it took me to get there. There is no cave(the map lied),nothing to kill, and basically looks like the ruins right next to it (ruins of eldarat i think theyre called). It will probably be something in the future, as blizz wouldnt make something nearly impossible to get to just for show. -Shakeñbake lvl 48 troll priest(Demon Soul)

In my opinion, this is one of the (if not possible THE) most beautiful areas Blizzard has ever created. The graphic design and detailing of this area is nothing short of amazing. Just such a shame that there is almost no quest content (for alliance anyhow) and that it has no infrastructure. Then again, for grinding and farming crafting materials, you couldn't find a more beautiful place. Great work Blizz! :)

Why would anyone ever go to Azshara to improve their lockpicking skill? Because Blizz told you so through the talent teacher. But don't listen to them because LOCKPICKING SUCKS in Azshara. You get to run to the northernmost part on the map, for what? Maybe one box near 88,41 if you can find it. For the love of everything holy, don't go. Lockpick elsewhere.

comming with this latest patch you have achiv to explore azshara... and if you look at details... you can see what you already discovered by exploring this part of kalimdor... but guess what i cannot find in Azshara : " Shadowsong Shrine " , i ve discovered all places but not this one.... where did blizz put it ??? i know all the map and i ve been looking on all wow site's .. nothing about it... already getting tired... of this... blizz made now even exploration kind of tricky to make you lose you re time of course... : /

For anyone stuck in the water off the southern peninsula, who needs to get up on the cliffs, there's a way to get up on the northern side (northern side of the southern peninsula). Look for an "inlet" (not sure the technical term) - not of water, but of sand, on your map. There are several, but there is a larger one south of the word "OF" in "THE BAY OF STORMS" on your map. If you follow that one inland, you can get back up on the top of the cliffs.
