There is a winding path back up through the cliffs to get off the beach, which can be hard to spot if you didn't use it to come down, It's south of the waterfall, about halfway down the beach, roughly level with the entrance area of Jintha Alor

Yeah, I know for sure there is a forge here for aliance. Can't say the same about horde tho, havn't levelled my preist high enough to enter yet.
As for where it's located; as you go up to the gryphon, there is a circular building to the left. There is a repair man upstairs in Windhammer Keep. He is a blacksmith back in a corner by himself. You will also see an Innkeeper upstairs too. He walks back and forth in room with several bunk beds. I made it my home for awhile.

Make your way to Durnhold Keep which is SE of Tarren Mill (east of the river). Don't enter the Keep, but follow its stone walls directly to the back then slightly head northwards until you see 2 Grphons. There will be a narrow path that'll continue to lead you all the way to Aerie Peak (the Alliance town).

This is definetley the best 40-50 zone in the game. If u dont wanna grind 40-45 here go to Tarnaris to quest through those 5 lvls. Make sure to come back here at 45 though, quests r really fun!! In 1 I got to escort a robotic chicken!

The master leatherworking trainer is here. To find the armour repair person, he is on the same floor as the innkeeper in Wildhammer Keep... to get up there, find the room with the warmachines on the ground floor, and go through a (shorter-looking) doorway (two different doorways lead to same place) and up the stairs. I tried this the other day with my lvl 40 Shaman, no fuss, no muss. Fly to Arathi Highlands Hammerfall. Run south to Thandol Span and jump down. There's an outcropping on the west side of it so you can jump half way, then the rest. If you miss just run to your corpse and rez down there.
Water walk or swim your way to the sea and then up the coast. Just keep away from the depths. No high level monsters anywhere. You come from the south into Raventusk Village. wOOt!

Apparently, I forgot how to get to the Hinterlands, so I decided to go to Hammerfall, go south to the waterfall and jump off. As I type this message, I'm swimming to Hinterlands. It's like a 10 minute swim.

There is a flight path located at exactly 11,46 in Aerie Peak. It is at the top of a series of concrete looking ramps. You can't miss them. Just head to the very top and you will find the flight master. I hope this helps.

Pre TBC it was just Hyjal and it was supposedly unaccessable. After TBC was relased Hyjal Summit, a level 70 raid instance, was created. Once you hit 70 you can go through the Caverns Of Time in Tanaris to a cave where there are entrances to three different instances (Old Hillsbrad Foothills, A.K.A Durnholde, Black Morass, and Hyjal Summit.) This is where you can go to Hyjal Summit if you are in a raid group. There may be other ways to get to Hyjal or Hyjal Summit other than through the Caverns of Time, but this is the only way that I know of.
P.S. This is a 25 man raid
For all the people wondering about the dragons..There is a world boss that spawns in there. I forget the name(s), pre-bc raiding guilds used to hunter them down for epic farming or just the gear they drop. There is a use for them. Now you know.
as a hordie i love this place cuz every time i leave the horde city, i find quite a bit of mithril and other stuff along the way. as u walk around, u will find tons more mithril. in my questing, i mined 2 sets of mithril, 9 gold, 10 true silver and a lil bit of thorium. the quests here r really easy and profitable for me. Go there at around 46-48. wat i did was go to STV from 40-44. Then i went to feralas 44-46. Tanaris 44-48. Then here im at 49 right now, almost hit 50 but i havent done the Jintha'alor quests which r really nice since u get blues and its non-elite since 2.3. But still doing the Jintha'alor quest with someone else is a good idea cuz the mobs r pretty bunched up. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME PLACE!

Alliance : Flight path and vendors at Aerie peak, in the north west area of the map, mainly ran by wildhammer dwaves.
Horde: Flight path and many vendors at Revantusk village on the coast, in the south eastern area of the map, mainly ran by trolls. Zone has a nice level progression travelling form west to east, starting at 41 with wolves and ending with 50-51 turtles on the caost. Jintha'alor is a large rebel troll town with nice qesusts and plenty of kills, easy enough now its not elite at lvl's 48-50. Not a great deal here for alliance, im afraid, a few quests, but not a great deal, plus rep rewards go to 'wildhammer dwarves' at present, theres no real use for that reputation. Not real bonuses in anything really: alliance better of in feralas, tanaris or even searing gorge when lvl45. For Horde, this is a great place, plenty of quests, including humanoid and beast targets (tailoring and skinning, etc). Some great quest items here include a trinket for 50 attack power (passive) and a +15/20 skill fishing pole. I'm a level 44 Undead Priest and I just wanted to check if quests in The Hinterlands would be good for me to solo. I've been the Tanaris, but quests there are too difficult for me to solo. A friend of mine, a level 45 Shaman, told me that Ferelas would be too difficult for me as it is even too difficult for him.
Advice?
You get to the Hinterlands by going through Hillsbrad Foothills. There is a gap in the mountains just north of Dunholde Keep.
The inn keeper for alliance is at Aerie Peak, which is near where you enter the zone. The inn keeper is inside Wildhammer Keep. Go into the keep, turn left, then turn right before you get to the dwarf Doran Steelwing, turn left and walk past the tanks. At the back of the keep you will then find some stairs. Climb these and go straight ahead for the inn keeper (go right for repair bloke).
I don't know if anyone else has heard rumors of the next expansion after WOTLK, but I've heard of it being the Emerald Dream and I think this might be the place that summons you there, much like the portal to outlands in the blasted lands, seeing how it's covered by elite green (dream) dragons and a huge one guards it, but I don't know the significance of the huge tree though.

ok,im a lvl 43 hunter.how do i get to the hinterlands???? do i go thru the plaguelands?or is there a way to fly or boat.

Where in The Hinterlands is the place called Plaguemist Ravine?
The best place to access Plaguemist Ravine is, ironically, in the Western Plaguelands, on the coast south of Caer Darrow. Took me about 2 weeks to figure that out!
