Found him at 53,46

I abaondoned the quest and kept the hat.  The hat rocks too much to complete the quest and not have it anymore.

There are about 30 Ornaments alone in South Moon Ruins. Check your map- Southern Central Tanaris all most to mountains.

You get the quest at 52,46. Than just visit ruins at 47,65 and/or 40,37. There are 15+ items there alone. With some patience you don't even need to kill any lvl 46 mobs around.

If you're not going to use reward either item, take the staff.  It vends for 2 1/2 gold!  Yum!

Eastmoon ruins, easiest xp i've ever gained

47,66 Tanaris best location ever...you will find them all in 5 minutes

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW WHERE EASTMOON IS: It's at cords 46.66


without cords, Just walk/mount about 3 cm south of the quest giver are, (On map of course.. ;P) and about 1.5 cm to the west. There you are ;P

Seriously - to get this quest done quickly, go to Eastmoon Ruins (46,66).  The ornaments are there by the dozens!

The Southmoon Ruins (39,71), also has a huge number of them.

    I don't know about all these people saying that theres tons of this stuff at one ruin, i had to goto both ruins to complete it. I got 15 at the first ruin, then on the way, picked up 2 more, then the rst were at the southernmost ruin. The two ruins are on your map, south of quest giver or at the coords above.
  Also, 3 words, stupid ass ogres. Its amazing how you can be 10 feet away from their face and they will refuse to see you.

Ps. The circle he wants you to get in ratchet, is to the left, coming into town from the dock, in a chest in front of the house, with a <Workshop Assistant> lady goblin in it.

Southmoon ruins .. 39,73

you will not even need to loot them ALL .. because there are more than just thirty ....

WOW i found every single one at 47 , 65 at Eastmoon Ruins those without cosmos head south of the questgiver until u hit the Gaping Chasm then head west and ur minimap will light up with yelloe dots! good luck :)

Priests use mind soothe ;)and second,there is even more ornaments then the Eastmoon Ruins in Southmoon Ruins(40,73),but there ogres are bigger lvl and they stack with the quest where you have to kill brutes and enforcers ;) Hope this helps ;) gl

Eastmoon does have a ton of ornaments. And the orgres are simple kills with a small aggro radius. But beware, there's one 50 elite orgre -- "<can't recall his name> the Lost" patrolling the outside of the ruins. Hunters can track him on the mini map but if you're not a hunter, just keep an eye out!!

Eastmoon ruins for sure, don't bother going anywhere else. In less than 30 mins. I got all 30 ornaments, 7/10 enforcers and 3/10 brutes toward the Dunemaul Compound quest, plus about 50 silver and 7500 xp on kills. Add the reward items and the 6300 xp at the end and this is one of the better ground collection quests in the area. The mobs are spaced very wide, don't path or add much if at all, and they just stand there like trees and take their punishment (a nice break from a long day of chasing Southshore pirates thru crowds of adds). They're dumber than a box of hammers too. You can literally stand in front of them collecting ornaments right under their noses. In most cases if you're only after the ornaments it's easy to sneak up and collect all 30 without having to waste much time fighting.

SOUTHMOON RUINS!! (40,73)

i picked up a few random ones along the way while i was doing the quest "the dunemaul compound." i had 5 before i got to southmoon ruins, and within 10 - 15 minutes (not joking) i had the rest. i didn't aggro any mobs and i didnt have to attack any either.

I found gor'marok in the cave @ 41.57

The enforcers and brute are outside and around the cave. there are also some more brutes at eastmoon ruins - 47.66 but the guys at 41.57 have a quick enough respawn

I didn't really find a lot of ornaments at the Eastmoon ruins. I scoped out the whole place and got like 11, waited for them to respawn, and then finished the quest. Took me like 30 min.
