Kill the Jadefires/Satyrs in Dire Maul East. Use the entrance at the circular buildling north and slightly east of the horde camp in felaras which takes you to these creatures straight away instead of the entrance in Dire Maul. Fel cloth drops off just about everything else too, at a similar low rate. I did a farming run killing the bosses and any mobs in the way and got 5 fel cloth from about 1 hour as an epic geared level 70 warlock. Pity on my realm felcloth is worth little.

Is there something wrong with the economy or is it just Hyjal being so expensive?

If you ask me, it's not worth it to be a tailor making mooncloth because there is no profit in it.  Mooncloth robes are not worth it either because you have epic armor which leaves the robes to serve no purpose.

IMO... there is no profit to be made with tailoring; and I'm not about to wait 40 days to make 100g when I can run raids in instances and sell items to make more then 100g in one week.

Don't belittle someone else's understanding of statistics with an argument with such huge holes in it.

I grinded tailoring to 300 in one day + took another day to grind regeants needed for Robe of the Void. I'd say the best place to grind felcloth is in Azhara, on the northern peninsula around the easternmost demon camp. As a warlock, I could dot the whole camp and just kite them around until they died. Then after picking the loot, they'd respawn.

In comparison to Felwood demon grinding, the drops were completely different. In Felwood, after 1 hour of grinding I managed to get 4 demonic runes and 1 felcloth. In Azhara, in that same time I got 6 felcloth and 1 demonic rune. All in all, it took me about 5 hours to collect 45 felcloths.

the drop rates on this and every other thottbot page are NOT supplied by Bliz. they are information collected off everyday players like yourself who are generous enough to run the thottbot add on and upload the information it collects.

therefore the information in the drop rate charts is absolutely 100% correct, it is real time kills versus drops data from players in the game.

this is a rare'ish sort of drop, and hence the price, it would also explain the statistical anomolies encountered when it is such a small drop rate. (around 3 to 4 % generally)

unfortunately you will always have people posting on here that "i grinded 4 eva and got nuffin".

when you have killed between 40 and 60 THOUSAND NPC's and still have "nuffin" then I will listen to you, because the drop rates stated on this page are actual kills made by real people, people who are generous enough to run the thottbot add on and upload their information.

Not necessarily.  If an item is for a quest and someone NOT doing that quest is killing the mobs that drop that quest item, the drop rate lowers, when it shouldn't because the player is not on the quest (meaning the item will not drop, obviously).  Otherwise it is accurate.  But when it comes to quest items, the drop rates aren't so much.

I'm a little dissappointed with the info posted here on thottbot, usually it's really helpful, but what I'm reading on felcloth is a little vague or inaccurate.

You can farm felcloth and demonic runes from the Jadefires in Felwood or the Legashi in Aszhara. My experience has been that Jadefire wins hands down..

The droprate in Azhara is incomparable to Jadefire. After a few hours in both, and noticing how pitiful Aszhara drops were looking I asked 4 and everyone pointed me back to Jadefire. Thats for both felcloth and demonic runes. Jadefire = higher droprate than aszhara.

A lot of people complain about the opposing faction in Jadefire.. I play alliance on a high pop pvp server and most of the time the horde don't bother me if I don't bother them, it's surprisingly peaceful. Especially fellow warlocks.

In conclusion: FARM THESE IN JADEFIRE.

Jadefire guys range from 49-51 and respawned quickly. My 63 hunter obviously didn't get any XP but I found I could kill 4 at a time if I could drag them into a group with my pet. to get to vendor, vi'el. once in winterspring go south from everlook until you hit darkwhisper gorge (the area where the snow turns to dirt and there are elite demon guards). as you enter, do not attempt to go through the guards. i did this and aggroed, though it is easy to run out and lose aggro. it is FAR easier just to stick to the right, and ride the mtns past the guards(actually be in the mtns, going over the hills, not on the ground next to the mtns, though this should probably work too, but i think it is better to climb the mtn a bit), eventually you will get to the spot where you can go up to the cave. this is not too far past the guards, near the second pillar on the right. this is way easier than trying not to aggro as you walk through the guards. also, you will bypass the guard that is at the bottom of the hill where the road going up to the cave is, because you will hit the road about in the middle rather than at the bottom where he walks. at that point stick to the left of the road so you can pass the guard at the cave... do it as his back is turned. my ride here has produced no felcloth, but i'm gonna wait it out a bit and see if some shows up. good luck

I dont know if it was just me being lucky but i was doing a warlock quest there and also i am collecting for my Robe of the Void. After getting 1 felcloth on my 3rd mob, and what i needed for the quest, i decided to stay and within about 15mins I had 5 Felcloth. I was pretty pleased with myself. I hope this is helpful for you.

Same here, 2-3 kills and I got my felcloth instead of Fel Essence, lol.

I can't see how this worth it. I have been farming them for 2 hours and 3 minutes and have only gotten one felcloth. I am not sharing either...no one else has been here the whole time. I would pay 100 gold a piece to save myself the aggravation, but there are none on the auction hall either. This is by far the absolute worst drop rate I have ever encountered.

Okay, so after 3 1/2 hours of farming in felwood and azshara, I had 2 felcloth. yippee. so i put a ticket in and the game master told me this was as intended. so have fun all, i will find other means of clothing my warlock. i will not farm this again. good luck.

After reading the comments on the low drop rate of this Felcloth I was beginning to hate the thought of having to get it but as I was doing another warlock quest in Azshara (needed Fel Essence) I killed 2-3 rogues and instead of getting the essence I got a felcloth. You have no idea how happy I was, lol. Now the Fel Essence is taking long, lol.
