soloed it easy with lvl 8 priest..
just crowd control dont aggro more then 1  take em out one by one i came from the right  take the guy out in the hut.. wait until zalazane goes up the hill so u dont aggro him 2. if u need to use some of that sticky stuff and have healing potions

Level 9 Troll Warrior, Soloed in easy. Just picked off the other trolls around him until it was him and another one left. I focused him, looted then ran. Healed and came back, finished up looting/killing the remaining ones i needed to complete the quest and then handed in. Not too hard. Cheers!

difficult to solo as a lvl 8 mage

I got cocky and tried it at lvl 7 as a warrior, no chance in hell of me beating him as yet, i can handle him ok by himself, but cant aviod all his buddies in the process.

did this at lvl 7 as a shaman, no problem it's all about using your head. sneak in the back and grab the skull for the quest before this, and turn it in, your reward is a one time use weapon that is really nice. then sneak in the back again, pop an earthbind and lightning, when he gets to you, as casts his curse, earth shock, that'll delay the curse. then just fight and heal, remember to use earthshock each time heal heals as it will break the heal and make it so he can't try to heal for 2 seconds. when he's low on health use the glowing skull and he's gone.

I did it with lvl 7 Orc Warrior!

Sneaked up behind (southern part) and took him off solo.

He is really a pain in THE ASS!
He heals himself 1 time and uses curse to shrink the enemy.

-2 Strenght
-2 Agility   
I think it was those stats on the curse.


Warning -Voodoo trolls are no funny to attack.
They heal and use magic in melee!

i soloed this as a lvl 7 rogue and its real easy. The trick is simple: wait till he does his little patrol around the place, and while hes doin that, get the skull. Then u have to go bak to the village ad turn the quest in to get the skull. Then go bak and make sure no other trolls are patrolling around and just start fightin normal, usin abilities and what not. The, when hes down to about half health, but not to low so he heals, use the skull. Hopefully u get a good number and he should die instantly. works like a charm

Where is he?? I searched all over the island, killed all trolls the quest requires, but couldn't find Zalazane himself!

actually, i have a lvl 9 and still am having trouble. a good way to do it is to get your throwing weapon and trow it at him, once it hits him, run out of everyone else. so it's 1 on 1. i did this will everyone on the large island.

I Just Want you to know that this is no problem to solo with a lvl 8 Priest;)

He spawns near 67,88,hes kinda hard because he pulls other trolls and he can heal himself.


(Make sure u have healing potion (if you are new in the game)).

Do him with a lvl 8 priest. He was very easy!

killed him on a level 7 hunter just finish the quest that gives u the really sticky glue and the one that gives you minisha's skull first at the start use the glue then start shooting him then when he tries to heal use the skull. easy

i solod this as a lvl 7 hunter, it was quite easy to kill zalazane, i shot him twice then used the skull which sucked 143 life away then he ran and i shot him for the final blow, the trolls were a lil harder but pulling one at a time and mainly killing lvl 8's i managed todo it in just over 30 mins

Zalazane is easy i was a 8 level warlock with imp and i was on like 25% LIFE and i killed him

Just kill em 1by1 and then just kill all those of that camp, then kill the boss.. soloed @ lvl7 hunter..

Soloed as a lvl 7 warrior.....got lucky actually, had a full rage bar after killing a raptor, and he kinda came out of nowhere after me, a few heroic strikes later, i felt good :)
BTW, was directly on top of the skull pile for the other quest when he came for me

I soloed him at lvl 6 with orc warrior! No healing just 'well fed' and 'battle shout' and 'blood fury'! i just waited till he patrolled past the hill and pulled him. 'Well fed' and 'battle shout' cansaled out 'shrink' so then it was just a normal fight! he healed but it did him no good as i used 'herotic strike' after 'herotic strike' and sure enoth with time he lay dead before me!

Soloed easy with a 67 pally questing for Org rep. Had to bubble and take a health pot but it was np. >_>

Just killed this gy with lvl 8 orc hunter, but haveing problems with npc quest giver not being able to complete quest even though i have the head in my backpack :\

This ques was super easy. I just did it with a level 6 Orc Warrior. Go to the southermost point of the largest of the islands. Go north up the hill to your right. If he's not there, retrieve the skull. He will show up soon. Use the glue on him if you have it, then I just used heroic strike, followed by thunder clap and rend, then heroic strike 2 more times. Easy as pie.

Put hunters mark on him, serpent sting + arcane shot, then when he was close to me i did raptor strike after that kited him some way back using arcane shots and keeping serpent sting on him. no pots

i just soloed it on a lvl 8 rouge i did not need any help or any pots it was so easy just pick off the mob 1 by 1

Well, I just did the quest with my Level 8 Undead Mage. I climbed up the small hill from the south and waited for him to walk up it (You should start Mashina's Skull while doing this one -- Avoid making 2 trips.) and when he got far enough away from his buddies where he wouldn't pull aggro, I just Frostbolted him twice to make him slow down a lil' bit, then Firebolted away 2 more times before he was dead. If you're a Mage / Shaman / Warlock you can take him down pretty fast. Only problem you could face with this quest is aggro'ing his buddies.

If you're a Warrior / Paladin, then just run up to him and beat the living shit out of him. Make sure you do it on the hill though, so you don't aggro anybody.

By the way, he patrols around 66,88. You know, on that big island. Good luck. :)

i solo'd w lvl 6 mage =]

Fighting Zalazane himself was actually very easy for my level 9 Troll Shammy. A level 40-something had just come through and killed everything, but I waited a minute or two for Zally to respawn and started Lightning Bolting him at maximum range. Got three or four zaps in before he got to me, no casting from him in the meantime, and I started meleeing him until he tried to heal at about 40% health. Earth Shocked him, meleed him a few more times, he was down. He's not that strong at meleeing himself. I haven't quite finished off all the Hexed and Voodoo Trolls I need to nail, but since they like to cast Immolate, giving me more time to Bolt them, the only problem I've faced so far is keeping my mana up. Easily soloable, I'd say

This was easy:D.    I was a lvl 8 worlock and my imp:D.. ran up the hil behind him.

does this quest give you like a 4x growth potion or sumtin like that cuase ive been looking on youtube and thats what ppl have been sayin. just curious

This quest should be combined with Minisha's skull.

I solo'd this as a lvl 8 troll priest, and it's simple.

First, swim out to the island and walk up somewhere around the western coast (the coast you naturally arrive at) on the big island in the middle. Stay in the water and make sure there are no Bloodtalon Taillashers or Durotar Tigers nearby, they are disturbing.

Remember that the durotar tiger can aggro at 30 yard range.

Then sneak around and pull mobs that wander alone in the outskirts.

Whenever you are ready you walk across the island to the eastern coast, but beware, there is a Bloodtalon Taillasher patrolling that coast.
Anyway, sneak up behind the plateau where minisha's skull is, there mightbe one or two trolls to take care of first, but then, waitfor zalazane to get off the hill, then walk up on it and take the skull.

Then you continue your waiting until he aproaches the hill, there you start spamming him with spells.

If you melee, just wait forhim to aggro


Then he should be easy as pie, unless he heals, then he is annoying.

When zalazane lays dead and you've looted his corpse you can easily pull two voodoo trolls one by one from where you stand (voodoo trolls are hard to find, since they mostly dwell in the center of the village).

Once finished, simply leave the island, or die and spawn @ spirit healer.

Could also be combined with Practical Prey and Break a few eggs.

any1 who says this is hard is wrong im lvl7 priest havent finishd but took down zalazane ina few secs jsut go up tht hill where he walks up grab minish skull then when he gets up there blast him with like 6 smites and he should eitehr be dead or he healing hit him smites few more times and he run or he dead easy as pie :)!

Use the things that you get for questing in Senjin. If you did Minshina's Skull before Zalazane like I did you should have Faintly Glowing Skull. You should also have Really Sticky Glue. Both of those will help a ton.

LVL 7 hunter kill FTW. Used glue from previous durator mission to fix him in place and wail on him with arcane shot. He never did try to heal himself though.

I solo'd as level 6 warlock.....I first completed Minshina's Skull then got Faintly Glowing Skull.....After he heal's, its realy realy good if u use it staright after he heals and it takes him to 10%....then kill him!
