I was waiting for the kitty to be released from it's cage, and just my luck a kind hord came over and gave it freedom...... sadly I got the "not tamable" message.  So while it's truly a sexy animal, it can't be a pet :(

Does this panther ever respawn?

He's been playing dead for a few hours now =/

Must've been bad luck :D 3 min after I posted this he respawned.

(he's exactly north of the camp white thingamajig btw)

I am horde, did the quest, and used beastlore when i opened the cage, he is not tameable

ok we get the picture he cant be tamed...

Thank you for letting us know he's not tamable, glad I didnt ditch my pet.

SO what is the coords 4 the panther cage?

Im a horde and i got the quest for this panther.. and then i was wondering if i can solo it as a 30 mage.. thats why i want to ask u guys how much health it has and if its damage is huge..

U can unlock the cage with a key for a quest, but you CANT tame it. I tryed just 1 minute ago when i reached 30. Sucks

Solo'ed as 31 mage.

Used coldsnap and a potion plus a mana gem. He hits hard but it's possible.

Solo'd him/her.../it!? at 29 as UD rogue.
Crippling Poison on offhand, left a corpse a good distance away. Gouged+sprinted off to the corpse to eat up without being interrupted when I was at 50% health. Gouged, BS'd, then hit evasion when it came back into range.

Demon armour,summon imp
open cage, back off and immediately fear. dot dot dot and fear again.
start casting shadow bolts until dots wear off; redot and refear.
rinse and repeat


killed it with 5% mana left, and 100% healthleft.  No potions/healthstones/or cannibalize used :) (warlocks ftw)

    I just soloed this as a lvl 30 shawman I dropped stoneskin totem, searing totem and mana spring totem. He hits hard so make sure you heal when you have a quarter life left. Also occasionaly cast flame shock but dont throw all your mana into earth shock. I used one mana potion. I hope this helps.

I accidentally unlocked it without the key!

If you have a pet or have a teammate that has one, walk up next to the cage so the pet goes inside, it'll aggro on the pet and unlock.  Accidentally discovered this with my 28.  Helpful for alliance, but sadly still not tameable.
