As a human paladin, level 12, I was sent to Duthorian Rall in the Cathedral in Stormwind, who gave me the Tome to start the quest for the ressurrect spell. The steps took place in Stormwind and Elwynn Forest, but may be different for dwarves.
Also, the level on the spell is listed as being level 13 on this page as I write this (the "Classes Paladin (13)" part), but I was able to acquire the quest, do all the steps AND get the spell at level 12.
It's quite easy. Donate 10 linen cloth, and run out in Elwynn Forest to Cairn Lake to ressurrect someone and kill Defias Wizards afterwards for a letter. That, plus some running around in between results in the spell being awarded to you. :)

it is a little bit difreent for dwarf but a little like the humans quest
who had sent u to that man in cathedral, i missed that q and i am now lvl 45, can find the start of the q for redemption... HELP!!!
you can try checking Ironforge if the quest is available
or maybe you don't know if the quest is available in Stormwind because you're too high level (so you don't see the yellow !), try asking around in the Cathedral, Duthorian Rall gives it I think

No matter the level (accept that u have to be at least 12) for dwarves you get the Redemption quest from Tiza Ironforge, in Ironforge. She's in the paladin trainer section up the stairs. If you're high level you won't see question mark, but just click on her anyway. She'll give you the Tome of Divinity. Go into your inventory and right click on it, and accept the quest once you've read it. Then just follow the quest through (tip: you'll need 10 linen cloths for the first part)
For all those mentioning the Tome of VALOUR, that is a different quest and gives you the "Sense Undead" ability.

For humans I'm not sure, but I think its someone in Stormwind Cathedral who gives Tome of Divinity quest, but don't quote me on that ;)
For humans you get the quest from a pally trainer in the iglasia, and a dwarf the second level of the building in the mystic ward in ironforge. Then you search the outer ring for john turner and kaput, es mich lieblingsfach!

If you say you can't get the quest again. Have you actually tried talking to the NPC (like, right-clicking on her)? Or did you just stand there and said "dang, i don't see no excamation mark, guess i'm boned".
Because quest exclamation-marks dissapear if you're too high level to get xp from them...
Confirmed. Speak with the middle paladin in Ironforge. No exclamation mark appeared when I went there at level 19.

As a lvl 30 dwarf, I got the quest start from Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker (one of the paladin trainers in Stormwind Cathedral).
Some other sources listed for the quest are:
Brother Wilhelm (paladin trainer behind blacksmith in Goldshire), Duthorian Rall (in SW Cathedral), and Gazin Tenorm (in SW Cathedral by the altar). The quest giver seems to vary by what level the paladin is at.

The paladin trainers in Elwynn Forest and Dun Morogh give the quest for Redemption! Just complete all follow-ups and 'You got a new skill'

Yes you can but it means the 60 will be at about 100-200 life so because Pally heals suck ass you'd have to heal them like 8 times

Yes, if ur draenei, u have to go to Exodar for quest. Pain in the butt.

Yes. I did the same thing. Was spending almoust a full night, trying to get this, reading different stuff. Go to your birthplace, and pick it up there.

When the spirit has been released you click your res button, or hotkey etc, then move the pointer over the corpse. You should then be able to res the player.
where can this be found for blood elves?

for the dranei quest i accpted it but no gift of light was given i know where to go and what to do but am unable to res the NPC without the gift any other dranei players having the same prob? I don't want to have to start over just to get the res abillity but it is a vital one for all paladins
I may be having one of those thick skulled moments and yes i see the million of notes about missing exclamation points and so forth but I have been to IF, SW, Goldshire and Kro and have clicked on the right people and been unable to even obtain the quest to earn redemption. Considering this is a staple of playing a Pally I am both concerned and outraged. Does anyone have any other idea's on how to get the quest? Or is anyone else experiencing this problem with their Drea?

As BE, you first have to kill a knight, which is fairly easy.
Back at the paladin section in Silvermoon you are asked to get a vial filled from the captured Naaru. This one is not so hard to find, there is a small opening in the ground behind the Champion/paladin trainer, jump down, get your item and walk outside and back to the questgiver.
He asks of you to rezz the knight you killed in Silvermoon Inn, top floor. Ask a guard in the city for directions to the Inn.
Once you revived your knight, get back to the quest giver and get your Redemption. Gratz!
Yeah, similar story, was wondering why I wasn't getting the spell as a blood elf, it's a quest that you get from the paladin trainer(s) in silvermoon city.
Your first objective once you've got the quest (there's many comments above how to get it) is to make your way towards ghostlands, this is south of silvermoon city, and again further south of fairbreeze village.
Technically the island is in ghostlands but you can easily make the journey directly from eversong woods. The island is visible from the eversong woods region, it's in the south east (coords below). However, if you're a purist (then why are you reading this? :-) and you want to follow the quest directions, keep reading... Once in ghostlands you have to make your way to the only northeastern island in the zone, which is distinctive on the map. (it's on the borders of eversong woods) (68,7 from ghostlands 62,88 from eversong woods). it's in lake elrendar if you've not got coords.
Once on island go to a cave and you fight some wimpy lvl 12, that's the first trial completed. Now go back to sivermoon city. You're great, give yourself a pat on the back :-).
For the next quest chain I'd suggest looking at the next relevantly named thottbot quest, but you basically jump down a hole in the floor nearby and follow the speil for what is quite a good story line (certainly for the blood elves).
You then fill a vial, take it to the quest giver, then to then inn, then you get the spell.

dude i did tome of divinity but instead got "sense undead". does this mean i can never get the spell "redemption"?? is there another quest for "redemption"? if so please let me know!!
I have cancelled my redemption quest also by misstake. The trainer in Stormwind or in Ironforge do not give the quest back to me. Any suggestion about a solution?
The redemption quest is given by the paladin trainer of your race. Don't be confused by this.

Alright i was lvl 18 till i realized i needed the quest. FOR ALL YOU CONFUSED DWARVES!!!! There is a human guy walking around in front of the Ironforge AH yelling about random things. Donate to him 10 linen and he will tell you to go to Tina Battleforge i think. There you have the quest now your off to becoming a talented AWESOME DWARVE PALLY!!!

Ok, just to lets know everyone. I'm a human paladin level 22 and I wanted to have that spell and could not have it. Finaly found the I had the "Tome of Dignity" in my inventory. This is a book/quest item. I had to READ IT(right click on it). Then this give me a quest and I can complete a series of quest like mention to finally have the Redemption spell...

well , i tryed going to IF in the cath , but there was no quest. im a leval 30 dwarf palidan and there was no quest. i did a pally quest before , and i got a hammer. so i dont know what to do. can anyone please help me ?

the quest was easy i know mostly all of the steps
1. go to cath church in sw for the quest
2. read the book adn talk to him again
3. he will ask you to save 10 linen and give it to a girl thats by the main entrance into sw not with the guards by wear the level 70s mostly hang out
4.go bk to the trainer and then hell give u another task
5.go tlk to the guy or dwarf about his dead friend and he wil lgive u the symbol of life
6. go to goldshire and go down the road wear youll find the stone clarin circle just right by the jangolog mine but lil more ahead which youll find the dead dwarf on the hill.
7. res him and he will tell u to get a little from the defias wityches and wizards by the stone in the middle
8. once u get the note speak to the dwarf and go bk to cathderal chruch in sw n talk to the dwarf
9.he will give u a book to give the the quest grayson
10. he will give u the ressurection spell and quest completeted
I must have dropped the redemption quest somewhere along the way, just ignoring it like an idiot, where can i pick it back up/ what do i need to do to get this tallent. (lvl 47 pally)
in SW i cant get it and im a lvl 17 human pally it wouldnt show the quest from the trainer it doesnt even show that i can get the quest and i tryed clicking on the pally train in SW and it doesnt say that its there at all.
It's actually not the pally trainer in SW it's the guy outside of the room that the trainer is in. For me he had a blue question mark above his head. Then you go through an easy quest chain to get it. Good Luck.

There is one important factor to this quest you need to know. The quest is per 'class' if you are a Draenei you have to go to your home land trainer for that. Same for NE and all other classes. Many can tell you where to go to get the quest, but if they are not the same class it is pointless.
