The stone itself is at 37,62.  You need to take the south entrance or you'll walk in circles and find nothing.

The hives actually let you see the map coords, unlike  in the crater.

I soloed this as a 62 Hunter.  My pet & I died outside the room, fighting a cloud of wasps.  When I revived, I immediately took a Partial Invisibility Potion and did NOT revive my pet.  I ran in and got the rubbing off the glyph.  When my invis. potion wore off, I was swarmed by the wasps again & died again, but that was okay because I used the spirit healer to revive and I'd finished the quest.

This is a completely ignominious way to do the quest, but it worked...

Coords also confirmed. The south entrance is the only entrance to get to it.

This post is faded because it has a negative score.

Spot on, together with the stone's coords posted above (37,62) exactly right. Getting there is easy. Above the ground there are groups of 5 or 6 wasps together, impossible to kill. I had feared they would be in the tunnel system too but I haven't seen one. So not particularly more difficult than the other hives.

South Entrance is correct. Do not attempt to solo, I REPEAT do not attempt to solo or else you will be high disappointed when you see 20 wasps hovering around your glyph. I was able to get it by shielding myself and flash healing before dying.

    Soloed as 60 warlock.
    Use soulstone on yourself.
When you get to the right part of the hive, sacrifice VW, run in, take sample and run towards the passage. You will die but because your soul is saved you will die a happy locky when your shield wears off and you have so many wasps trying to kill you in unison :)
Wait until they swarm off after you're dead and then use your soulstone instead of releasing your spirit to the nearest graveyard.  Summon minion, heal yourself and make your way back to Cenarion Hold, or you could just hearthstone instead.

I did this at Level 64, Arcane Specced Mage, I got so busy in Outland, nearly forgot about Silithus. The wasps are in swarms up to 5, and they inflict a poison, that stacks up to 8 times. Which deals 350 damage each tick if 8 are stacked up. I soloed it no problem, make sure each swarm your health and mana are 100 percent, keep health potions handy and if you have any pots to neutralize poison, I went herb/alch so I can make em myself. Also pack some food. Eating after the fight if you got afew DOT poisons stacked against you can prevent you from dieing, bandages wont help, once you take damage the next tick, bandage loses its effect. You can solo this, just stock up on pots, food, and make sure you are at full health and mana before taking on each swarm. I pulled one with icebolt, followed up by arcane missiles and fireblast, hit frost nova, backed up, took another out, then I AOE'd with Arcane Explosion to take out the remaining 3 mobs. AOE is nice, if you dont have AOE, might be wise to bring someone along that can, or that can neutralize the poisons and heal you.

Solo'ed shadow priest- run in, shield up obviously, fear them, get the rubbing, then...well, either run, or, well,  most probably die.
    Job done though!

Solo'd as lvl 60 Hunter.  The trick in the final room is to draw the first batch of 4 buzzards out, with the goal of killing at least 1 before dying.  After you die, come back and kill the other 2-3 left, which will have less attach power as a smaller group.  No matter if you die once or twice before killing this group of 4 buzzards, come back to the room and SLOWLY inch up to the crystal in the center of the room.  You don't need to engage any of the buzzards to your left or the ones situated behind the crystal.  That first group is all you need to kill because you can obtani the Hive-Zore rubbing by just getting somewhat close to it and not right on top of it.

soloed as a 61 warrior - despite the wasps: bloodrage to raise rage, then run in, fear them (int. shout) and grab the thing. you'll die on the way out but what the hell - it works :-)

Am level 61 Hunter.  Solo'd by mistake but worked nonetheless.  Had my pet "stay" at entrance which eventually brought the wasps. Then ran by them after pet aggro'd them.  Ran to the crystal and feigned death.  Waited for poor pet to die so combat ceased.  Then rubbed the ol' crystal.  Ported back.

I soloed this with a level 60 hunter following the South entrance example above and slowly walking into the area, which drew 3 mobs. I killed one before dying and when I got back, I revied my cat and killed the other two. Then I snuck up to the stone and got away without dying again.
