This seems like it would be a GREAT move for grinding. It seems very helpful.

What NPC taught you this? EN 24
I tamed a Lupos in Darkshire hoping it would have this, and the fact that he looked different than the other wolves. Trained him when I was a lvl 25, now a lvl 31 and he still can't learn it. is it possible for a Lupos to learn this ability?
Sorry for the n00b Q, but why cant I select the pet abilities while in battle? It seems that my pet automatically uses these abilities, and I have no control over what he does (other than the standard attack, retreay, stay commands).

I've always liked wolves, and I hate that you can only learn Furious Howl rank 4 from LBRS wolves, which just sucks.
So I wonder, Anyone know if any level 60+ wolf in outland got the howl or if there is even a new one.
i found a wolf lvl 66 with furious howl rank 4 today. Its the black den mother at the end of the cave from zangramash to BE mountains.
i took this wolf cause its high lvl and its black :P, was planning on soloing the ubrs pet, since all wolfs can learn the ability once its in the hunter spell book. And every ability a new pet has comes in ure spell book once u have killed some stuff with it.
It works with both mele and ranged attack. Basicly any physical damage you are doing it helps. This is why it's so good in a PvE especially groups. the damage is added to the very next attack you do so example, Rank 4 Howl will add another 45 - 57 damage on a mele attack. Thats like steroids on your MT and if you control when it happens, it allow your teammates to know when your releasing it so they can then use it to their advantage. 2 hunters with 2 wolves tag teaming this is awesome stuff for a MT basicly every second attack cops a boost this way. Put simply it will increse your average DPS by about 22 - 28 points average.
what level do u have to be to get a wolf

I have a wolf that i got from ashlands
he never learned this!! And he's level 29!
you can have up to 3 pets, what i do is i got 2 that i keep fairly permenatly, then use the third to tame new pets to get their abilities, whenever you find one you want (use beast lore to find out) simply abandon the extra and tame the new one, use it till you learn the ability
in the hinterlands just east of the alliance fp, there are mangy silvermanes, at the right time of the day a special wolf appears near the hills, lvl 42, i tamed it and got furious howl, bite, and dash. sweet pet.
To teach your current pet how to do a skill it doesn't know...
1st: catch a pet that knows the skill of the appropriate rank that u r looking 4(with your main pet stabled, of course) 2nd: battle with this new captured pet with that new talent active until it says on your message log that you have learned <skill> 3rd: release that pet when u get to town: he's useless to you now 4th: go get your old pet out of the stable and go to your pet training book (in the general tab in your spell book) select the skill (that is, if he can learn it) and teach it to him. 5th: have fun with your new skilled up pet (and look up the next rank of that skill while you're at it. figure out what lvl u can learn it and which mob knows it at the lowest lvl. repeat steps 1-4 on that mob)
ok, so i just don't know how your pet can learn this, you you use training points or does the move come with the pet?
