is it worth something to build up reputation with the Darkmoon Faire? is there any reward?
i easily got my darkmoon amulet, maelstrom and heroic trinket a long time ago, im like half way friendly, just wandering if any1 got honored, revered or exalted ? im not talking about tickets rewards here, but faction rewards
i think if u do manage to get all the way to exalted (not sure how or y u would but anyway....) u should be able to get 1 of the sweet tabards. they look so intense! anyway.... just my opinion cause im greedy and like rare junk
Its pretty hard to get past friendly if its even possible. You won't get reputation from obtaining tickets anymore after a certain point. have fun getting alot of rep with the other "quests" :P
Very fun to work with. They are in Elwynn, and Mulgore every other month (the off month is for the other faction.) I see the Horde striking it in Elwynn a lot. It's fun just to play the little games, and get drunk. Look for it every other month.
where is the fair location in mulgore?
Darkmoon Fair is the only faction to have more disadvantages of increasing the faction than advantages.
The low-tier turnin quests (awarding 1-12 tickets) will gradually become unavailable as you advance from neutral to friendly. No extra benefit occurs when you get to friendly (or any higher tier, for that matter).
If u want alot of tickets(like me)then u should have engineering...u can make alot of the bronze gizmo and copper modulator with ur own fingers...
or hands...idk....;D This post is faded because it has a negative score.
Some of the interesting specifics about the Darkmoon Fairy. The tickets are relatively worthless , the best turn-in (for 50 Tickets) is a Darkmoon Storage box which is a unique 14 slot bag , the 12 ticket turn-in is a bag that usually reaveals a low-end 30-35 level green item , I got 33 level Huntsman's Cape of the Money and 32 level Conjurer's Breeches of the Monkey. The quests for tickets become less available the more you turn in. The best part of the Darkmoon Fairy to me is the rare item vendors that replenish their random inventory every 5 to 15 minutes. At these vendors you can strike some pretty amazing deals , they have healing and mana potions , and a variety of scrolls for all levels 1 to 60 avaialable at times. You can also get some herbs ranging from very commen mageroyal to extremely rare Black Lotus and Fel Lotus for cheaper that you will ever find on any auction house. Same goes with Motes (Fire,Air,Water,Earth,Life,Mana & Shadow) are all available at times at a very cheap vendor price. Last but not least is the Fortune Teller whom will ask you a series of questions that somehow give you a random spell buff with a 2 hour duration (Can be Huge) and one backup scroll (With the same buff I believe) you can use later... The spell buff i got was 10% Increase in Strength for 2 hours. Hope this helps some of you , and enjoy the fair... 8o)
I find that the only thing the Darkmoon Faire is good for is the jubling... This post is faded because it has a negative score.
I can't believe I wasted my time and money on this Stupid stuff none of the Items are worth anything... save the decks those are nice but you don't have to waste any time or money doing the quests to get tickets because all the items you receive from redeeming tickets are for the most part worthless This post is faded because it has a negative score.
The Faire is a fun side thing to do.
If you want (Insane in the Membrane) "<Name> the Insane" achiviement, you need exalted rep with these guys. The decks are ok, but the Greatness (Nobles) deck is the key one. Expect to farm like mad, or pay 3-5k for the deck. and the tickets are all but crap now. unless ya wanna de the greens lol.
This grind is very profitable if you know how to do it correctly. I am still grinding this faction. I pick up the Demons, Mages, Rogues and Swords decks in the auction for heaps cheap. Under 20g. I then use the item (it gives 25 rep) and chose an item from the quest and sell it in the AH for 100g. It always sells. That is a 80g profit on every deck. This is a slow way to gain rep but a great way to to earn some cash doing it. So far, I have made 4000g doing this technique. I am now honored.
I've written a guide on getting exalted with the Darkmoon Faire for the [Insane in the Membrane] achievement.
The guide includes a breakdown of the method along with a youtube movie I made taking you through my auction house routine for putting together decks. The link is: http://www.saate.net or http://darkmoon.saate.net to go straight to the Darkmoon Faire Guide.
Besides the continuing usefulness of the various cards, the days of the Darkmoon Faire are clearly over. They should seriously improve items available for tickets or come up with new quests. Right now seems like the Faire is a WoW version 1.0 museum piece.
I have a question about the rogues decks: I had a friend make a bunch of the cards for me but the NPC to whom i'm supposed to turn the deck in at the faire does not want any rogues deck (it does not appear in the list of decks u can turn in to him).
Any ideas what is wrong? Is it a different NPC I have to speak to? Can these decks be turned in only up to a certain rep lvl? I'm currently just past the 2000/6000 cap.
You do not turn the decks in at the Faire. Just right click the deck, accept the offered quest, then open up the quest and complete it. (Right click on the deck a second time). Doesnt matter where you are. A Darkmoon Faire NPC will appear in front of you and offer you choices of item. Select and accept what you want, and you are done.

Well Inside shattrath (or anyweres else) There is a cannon that you can use to shoot you in the air and you have to try and land in a body of water, with a bullseye there. Is this part of a quest for rep or tickets? Or is this just a annoying game that you can play thats worth nothing?
