Mine is just 27 and he's already pretty good sized. It's those wings that block everything. I saw a level 60 Bat and add Bestial Wrath to that and he'll cover the whole screen!

i got my bat but the only skill he got so far is growl. how do i teach new skills to him? example: bite, divine, and screech. any hunter players out there give me some ideas please

I have used my bat ever since lvl 11 > im now lvl 56. He's a big rare albino bat i found in trisfall glades, right beside the Under City. He over twice the size now than when i first found him and he has been the best soloing pet I have ever had.
Reasons why Bats are a good pet choice: 1. They have screech which is good for gathering aggro from multible targets which makes them good for pulling mobs off you. 2. Because of their size they provide good coverage so people can't target you as easily in battle grounds. 3. They do excellent Dps, and they get the Bite ability and dive ability which is useful for chasing down runners and devouring them. 4. They look cool and make cool noises =P Im a BM Tauren hunter and my white bat is about 3 times as big as me and it's bigger than my mount when i use Bestal Wrath! I love killing gnomes with it :D. The down side is that they can become annoying in instances because of thier size and the screech abilty makes a eagle sound :(. But overall, Bats Rock!

I LOVE MY BAT!!! it is a seriously good pet, perfect in nearly all ways, although it hasnt got the best attack damage, it tanks beautifully, especially with bite, screech etc. It annoys ur enemys so much in PVP, mainly cuz they cant click on u without accidentally clicking ur bat! :D With Screech it makes such a cool noise, and will help out hunters sooo much!

So here is where to find fruit....In IronForge, in front of the hall of mystics "preist-mage area" There is a little gnome girl who sells nothing but fruit. She walks around like the bread seller so you have to stop her. pumpkins galore :)

ok i had the toughest time trying to find out how to teach ressan the needler schreech so heres the rundown and easiest way (for alliance) to teach it to a bird that doesnt know it. i went to westfall and tamed a greater fleshripper that knew schreech (i tamed four and all four had it so i think its on every fleshripper) then with that bird i still didnt kno how o learn schreech from it although it already knew to use it, after asking around i was told to attack somthing with it so i did, it killed a lvl 1 rabbit and across my chatbox it said that i had learned to teach screech ...YAY!..so i went back to the stable and got my bat back and taught him screech WOOT!!!

I love bats as they look great and are one of the best pets due to the dive ability (get to mobs fast), screech (take of a nice 200 odd attack power from mobs at level 4) and also good +7% dps. I also think they are the most well animated pets.
They are great for pvp as ppl cant see u just a lot of flappy wings. However... They are hated in instances because they take up soo much room they can aggro (took one to strat baron once and was very tricky) and also in raids ppl cant see whats going on because of the size. An added bonus is that ppl cannot stand the noise they make with the flapping wings. I ditched my zul g one a while back and missed him tbh but ofc problem now is that levelling a pet from 60-70 takes weeks. So I decided to try and solo tame one of the shadowbats in karazhan. Our guild are only at the huntsman boss but I took along an invis potion and after we'd finished I decided to make a break through the room with the spiders on the right. Ive not been ther before but read the bats were in there somewhere. So i ran through that room then the next and saw bats, feigned death just as this spider pat walks right over me on the ramp by the bats. Waited for him to go then dismissed my old pet and laid a trap. luckily one of the many bats came right at me (if u try and pull lots come - u die) and was a 69 and i tamed him with a second to spare before the spider came back.. So Im the proud owner of a level 69 shadowbat. They are like a pinky white colour and I think well worth a solo tame if ur an attuned hunter with some time to kill.

I had the Vamperic Mist bat from lvl 18 to lvl 60, an have out done most heroric pets. Petopia lists the bat as being moderate, but this is the most powerful of the pets you can get, I feel. I just upgraded my bat to a Plague Bat, and will see how he does, if not, at least I'll have a new skill for my older one. :)

IMO i dont really like bats im looking for a new pet at lvl 30 and im not finding these so awsome there just not for me if u can convince me well go ahead then. im looking at bears thought right now!Bears seem awsome thought right now!

I have had Ressa (my white bat previous,y Ressan the needler) since level 10. I am now lvl 54 and must say i have tried a boar, a cat and a bear but go back to my white bat as his DPS is awesome, he holds aggro, seems to take lots of damage and overall is an awesome pet.
Worse thing his he does get in the way a bit when trying to do things like in AH etc but hey there are pros and cons to all pets. He keeps up and is a little different to look at and is awesome in PVP and PVE. Overall i would recomend a bat, but then i prefer offensive pets to defensive ones. Comes down to what you prefer. My bat has been with me for 40 levels and am not going to replace him but possibly get a wolf for end game raiding only but keep Ress for everyday playing. Highly recomend bats as pets and the White bat for something really different. There are only two in the game Ressan the Needler (lvl 10 at Trisfal Glades) and the Blind hunter in RFK. i just got a lvl 27 kraul bat at razerfen kraul and i like everything about it but I'm reading all these comments about the bats getting huge and the one i have right now(lvl 27 kraul bat) is like tiny its the size of my torso so ya im just wonderin if this bat will get big and if anyone has any screen shots of a bat at lvl 70 with bestial wrath
i am level 55 wondering if i can get a bat at that level or around that level and where? tyvm
