White croc skin, with a dragon like beard. He's fast on the ground. Keeps pace with lvl 40 mount.

Just tamed him - needed a new pet as my beloved Cat simply dies too soon at this level (50+).
Was an easy tame: Freezing Trap in front of me, back off a bit, tame on and voila: He is mine :)
Experience so far: Well first of all very nice looking, kind of big for a lvl50 pet, which is normally could lead to targetting/overview problems but since he's so low by the ground he merely impresses (gnomes make sure to walk around him in IF :P).
Went solo hunting Dark Iron dwarves with him in the Searing Gorge - must say that this is quite the improvement over my ol' cat (Swamp Jaguar). His armor is so thick that even 3 lvl47/48 of 'em couldn't bring him down while I was shooting arrows in them from afar.
Here's a tip for people looking for him: He's a morning beast, meaning he is most likely to spawn on your server between 8 and 10am.
Happy trails!

All crocolisks have 6 legs, smart one...
The Sewer Beast and Dreadmire are two different beasts. As in, they spawn in different places, are different levels...
Just because they have the same skin doesn't mean they're identical. Good example is Shadowclaw and Feral Nightsabre. Same skin, different AS

i stayed up hunting for him cause somebody said he was a morning spawn. checked at like 12am, 1am, 3am, 5am, 10am... but guess what! i found him at 4 PM!! so yeah... i think he just has like a 24 hour respawn or seomthing close to it and you've just got to keep checking back.

I tamed this creature last night after 3-4 hours of riding around. I *briefly* saw him on my tracking and then he disappeared which was quite sad since he's not around all the time.
Make a macro with just:
/target Sewer
It will save you a lot of time. I was very lucky because I clicked the macro once and instantly targetted the sewer beast! He shows on tracking when he is in the water but when he's not roaming around he is *in* the wall and does not show on tracking. When I targetted him he was actually underneath the gated off portal in Stormwind. He was in tame range though and starting the taming process pulled him out of the wall and right to me.
At level 60 he took me to half health while I was taming him. Spamming /target Sewer will most likely save you a lot of time.

I was walking out of SW keep and I pressed tab and that thing showed up. Since it's 1.11 patch now, I partied up with someone and put a mark over it and saw it right in front of SW keep in the water and I'm like WTF!? So I jumped in and killed him. I used a major healing potion but I don't know if I would've died without it.
When I was killing him, somone was whispering me so while I was talking to them, I didn't see people talking to me in /say that I should stop. I killed him and they told me that this is a rare spawn for hunters to tame.
DO NOT KILL HIM! The loot sucks really bad. He's only meant for hunters. Tell a hunter about it and I'm sure they would reward you.

It's really meant as a rare tamable creature, not as a loot dropping mob. Every time you kill the sewer beast a hunter dies a little inside.

decided that brokentoth was dying a little easy so i dedicated to the process of updating to a new pet...found him in less than 24 hours...he spawned between 6:45am and 7:50am, he was between the park and cathedral square, one freeze trap and training later he was mine...i am a 57 and he is a 50 so it will take a bit to lvl him, but i am sure it will be worth it. to any non hunters...the earlier post is correct...all of us hunters die a little inside when non hunters kill a tameable elite, soooo, the drops ain't worth it, let's sleeping sewerbeasts lie.

lvl 60 Troll Hunter (Khaz Modan server)tamed Sewer Beast about 3 hours ago!
heres how
kamakazeed my way into Stormwind City and hid under the water right where the portal behind the bars is. I created a human to scout out the rest of the canal area, but found him right underneath where my troll was - logged on with the troll frost trapped and started taming. did end up dieing after i tamed him because i wanted to make sure alliance saw i got him - otherwise would have had plenty of time to hearth out --- took my 2 days of searching but the fact that i tamed probably the hardest pet for a horde hunter to get was worth it!
Thanks to everyone who added info on sewer beast on here, it made things much easier to find

I looked for him for 7 months off and on before I finally found him. It was far easier to find Humar. He is freaking huge, unbelievable really. Then after he's been tamed he shrinks like my willy after I jump into a freezing lake.
Im on arathor server, names crocdundy and i feel obligated to catch this guy. Ive been on a constant search for a few days....prolly just hope for that one lucky day when I see the Beast Croc to Croc.
I caught this guy on OCT 13th.....just happened to see him....booked it to stable Humar and Bam Mine.
He makes an excellent tank, give him the great stamina and great nature armor and bam instant warrior. No need for other attacks hes just meant to take hits.

I tamed the sewer beast on argent dawn around 5pm on 10/26/07. He was underneath the dock next to the mage quarter. I am level 63 and was able to swim right on top of him with out any aggression. I tamed him by standing on the dock stairs and placing a freeze trap. He never touched me.
Searched for two weeks, found him at 9:10am servertime Nov. 29th under the boatpier near the Park where the boys fishing often stop & talk about the Croc in the canals. Hakkar Server... thx for tips all
When I first heard about him, I was very excited. Like many others have said, it is one thing to find a rare pet out in the "wild"... it is another to tame one right in the middle of a major city!
I have seen him 4 times, and 1 of those times I tamed him.
(Pictures posted under Zaesar)
A few clarifications:
He does NOT give Rep when killed.
He does NOT drop ANYTHING but a TOOTH when killed. EVER. Don't think you're going to get some rare items. (Picture posted of the proof)
He does NOT come with any learned skills.
WHERE TO LOOK:
Of the 4 times I've seen him, 3 of those times has been in the same place. If you were standing in the Mage Quarter and run toward the Trade District, he is at the very end of the canal separating the two locations to the right in the water.
He sits at the bottom and does not move around unless you agro him.
If you are not a hunter, for those looking for him, if you happen to spot him, let people know before killing him. He really is of no benefit to kill, and some hunter would probably love to have him.
He is a good tank, and very unusual. Runs very fast for a croc. Also.. in Raids, people are quite unsure of him at first. It's pretty funny.

The funny thing with it is that i talked with a GM about a week ago regarding the sewer beast and the answer I got was "Well, even if he does exist, he is not tameable my friend".
Well, I guess that GM was a n00b cause I just tamed him.
Found him outside SW Keep, placed a frost trap, autoshot, then tame beast. Worked like a charm.
Nice thing about him is that he had Bite (Rank 7), while my Ghostsaber had Bite (Rank 6). Trained it to my cat, can get some more dps from it now ^
As for the croc, it's quite cool, only bad thing is that it has -21 training points as usual bah, will level it up to 70 and check his tank abilities out.

I was originally the proud owner of a Ghost Saber, but jumped servers and discovered that, on the new server, everyone and their grandma had a Ghost Saber as a pet, and sadly, a pet is only cool if you only meet three other people who have one.
And so, the search for the Sewer Beast started. I made a macro of "/target Sewer", then threw up Track Beasts, and would run around the canals every hour, spamming the macro in hopes of finding the elusive beastie.
After several days of nothing, today, around 4:30PM server time, I found the Sewer Beast in between the Park and the Cathedral District -- jumped up and danced around the room shouting, then got to taming. One Freezing Trap later, and I'm the proud owner of a Sewer Beast. =D Tamed 03/25/2008.

P.S. The Sewer Beast doesn't appear to have a certain spawn time, although a lot of people seem to find him on the 4s and 5s, both AM and PM. I'd really suggest just checking on the hour, but you might have better luck around those times.
if you do in fact try to level a beast lower than you, the mobs have to be your level for your pet to gain experience, or around the level you would still be getting experience if you werent already capped at 70
Meh, crap. Drops nothing.
I found him yesterday, 22:00 server time, in the canals between The Park and the Cathedral square. This was not on the server I have my main, so I was only lvl 5, though.
I warned two lvl 70 hunters and told them about the beast, but both of them said: LOL, a creature like that doesn't exist, and rares are never tamable, noob.
I knew this was bullshit, so I warned a lvl 60 hunter instead. He came quickly and tamed the beast. He gave me 25 silver as a reward for warning him, which I spent on beer at once.
This was on Boulderfist, by the way. Happy hunting!
i read about this guy two nights ago and started looking for him last night ..found him at 6 am server time. he was between the dwarven disrtict and the cathedral ..was rly happy to get him no one i know has even heard of him not sure if many on aerie peak knows he exists. well good luck to anyone else who is trying to get him.. hope u find him right away too
i know were he is the most hes aruond the tradind district near the gumps flower shop hes just siting there in the corner and just cause you cant see him dont give up he blends in with the water and bricks you can see him underwater best if you dont be carful tho he will come after you
Lol. I hated this guy. When I started playing wow, at my first visit in Stormwind I was attacked by it! I was a lvl 12 warrior, and because of that crokolisk I never swim in the Stormwind waters!
So this is one of the only things a hunter can actually say is for a hunter....
u guys think just because hes a rare spawn he should he good drops hes not there for that reason... hes there for hunters to tame. also he usally spawns round the dwarfen and light district at the time of 4-5 pm and am.
Can hunters track the sewer beast?
