I killed about 40 all in all (56 MM Hunter) and had 3x better drop rate killing the Ravagers as opposed to the Chimaera. 7 of 8 came from Ravagers...

Don't buy into anybody's secret success. With drop rates like this, you are better off relying on your lucky cap.

If you kill a few in the same area with no luck, go try the others. Simple.
