It's even simpler for rogues (level 69).  Rode east from the hold.  Just before the second bridge is the entrance to the path to the south.  Stealthed down the path just a little ways and got quest complete.  Headed back out to the bridge until just out of the area and then just back into the area and out of any agro range.  Fired the flare gun to signal the qryphon rider, who came and turned in the quest.  No battles and didn't have to fly all over the place trying to get quest complete.
