if ure planning this fight a real good thing to get / make sure someone has for each grp is a drum of speed, + 15% boost to all party members for 15 sec is a real nice buff to use on this fight, that way u can help someone out if they lack / ran out of speed pots and such, the pattern is a hard drop tho, so make sure if u get one u should give to a LW in the guild, it really helps on this fight and more (pvp included)

...Originally, a single hunter took out the big bad wolf, at grandma's house... Then Blizz nerfed hunters... Now it must be done in groups...
When you first enter the event, you talk the the Grandmother. After clicking "My, what large mouth you have." (or something to that effect, he announces, "The better to own you with!"
When he turns someone into little red riding hood he also yells, "Run away, little girl!"
He's one of the opera events, idk what number, i know its attuman, then moroes, then i forget the order.
seems to be a hunter item dropper, cant wait for sniper:)
we just did it today, after 4 wipes, we got a fury warrior, and with piercing howl, it was easy like hell.
we did this first night without mage or druid, it gotta be the easyest boss in Kara.
lawl did it with 5 hunters for funsies
feign death is the key (to negate red riding hood)
maybe hunters arent a waste after all

Everyone tell with what classes and such they downed; But can't someone tell exactly what it does?
I've heard someone get to little red riding hood, then the wolf chase them and you heal red riding hood and kill wolf.
But seems too easy, innit? Increased speed, something? : /
It's a very easy fight. BBW turns a random party member into Little Red Riding Hood. BBW goes after the player who's LRRH and will kill her in one hit if caught. Whoever is LRRH gets a speed buff. LRRH lasts for like 20-30 seconds and the player turns back. He does a fear as well. After the 20-30 secs of LRRH, you have approx 10 secs before he does it again. If you have DBM, there're timers for all of these things. He doesn't have a lot of HP, so if some DPS classes die when they're LRRH, it's not a huge deal. We did this event last night. We were a bit rusty since this is the first time we had it in months...we lost our MT, a healer, and a DPS class and we still killed him with relative ease.
Would it be possible for him to drop Wolfslayer and Beastmaw Pauldrons on the same run?
Yes, the Pauldrons are a shared drop (meaning that they can drop in any of the events).
That happened to me, there was another hunter in the group but he didn't need, and I got both (both were upgrades)
I was so exited from getting that shit, actually replaced the x-bow from the same run (sadly, no sunfury)
That was a great kara run for me
This guy's actually fairly easy once you get the hang of him.
Start off by tanking him in a corner. Having more ranged DPS than melee helps here, but is by no means necessary. The rest of the raid should stand on the opposite side of the stage (except for melee).
He'll AOE fear anyone near him, and usually will go after someone else if the tank doesn't resist it.
Eventually, he'll put Little Red Riding Hood on a person, reducing their resistance and armor to 0. He'll immediately aggro onto that person and chase them around, though they gain a 50% speed buff while this happens.
This is where tanking him in a corner comes into play. If he aggros a healer or ranged DPS, he has to walk across the entire stage to them and this gives you an extra second or two to react. Run in a square around the edge of the stage, but don't run into the walls. You should be able to stay pretty much ahead of him and kite him until the debuff wears off, after which he returns to the target with the highest threat.
From my observations, a druid main tank works really well on this boss. In the time he's away from the tank chasing someone, it's hard to get hits in on him as a tank, and not hitting a warrior means they have little rage during the LRRH debuffs. With their massive threat generation, druids seem to have a better time holding aggro through the LRRH so that your DPS and healers are at minimal risk.
Unless your tank dies, and a well-geared one shouldn't because he doesn't hit that hard, you only need a single tank.
I think it's real good for Rogue's(Not Sub).

This fight is very.... very funny. My raid wiped the first time because we were too busy laughing at the little girl than fighting the wolf.
Needless to say, this worked for us when we respected the fight:
1) Tank wolf in middle of room towards back left corner
2) Have ranged DPS and healers in front left corner
3) Tank and spank
4) Shout out who gets wolf (to make them aware of it if they do not notice being turned into a little bitty girl)
5) Run around the stage counter clockwise. Dmg-misdirecting moves work really well here just in case you suck at running or lag or something.
6) Tank and spank
A dps'er or two can die in this fight and still win, so don't fret if you lose one or two ppl.
All in all, it's a pretty fun and quick fight.
EDIT: Make sure that your group doesn't spread out. Only the little girl tank +melee DPS should be away from the group corner. When you lose agro, get back to that corner. It's hard to see what's happening when everyone is spreado out.
Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not a Warlock's Curse of Exhaustion works on him? Or for that matter, Hunter's Wing Clip, Mage's Slow, Warrior's Hamstring etc. etc.

IT acually does, my raid group (after wipeing miserably 4 tiems in a row) tried everything we could to slow him down. Frost trap doesnt work, wing clip, concussive, nor does curse of exhausion or hamstring. Me being the hunter i was dissappointed that i ouldnt finish it with my pug'ged group :\ (which was mostly guildies of the same guild, not mine) funny though how even with my little 8kish health i was always taken down with two hits, not one :)
My favourite Opera Boss. I just LOVE to run around with the red hood and spam /train to annoy my raid :-)))

I would guess so, though my Raid had almost exclusively the Big Bad Wolf as a Boss.... except for this weekend when we finally had some welcome change and got Romulo & Julianne. Not as much fun as the Big Bad Wolf but it was a change at least.
done kara only 1 time so far xD, he looks fun to me :p, last time i had romeo and julliet...boring, just their voices are fun :P....tomorrow another chance with my second run :)

if a rogue gets the 'red hood' you can vanish and the wolf wont run after you anymore.

my guild killed him yesterday, it was a really sloppy job, but we got it done. had like 3 ppl left at the end.
the dps just needs to be quick, and this fight is pretty easy. when you turn into red riding hood run away!
if a hunter gets red riding hood just fd and its a tank n spank for 13 seconds.
hes somewhat like supremus's stage 2 ( his glare stage ) in which he chooses someones and that person has to run like heck.
if yer not a hunter and you get little red riding hood, just run around the stage.
we finished him off and he dropped little red riding hoods cape, and some druid leggings.
we did this last week (not sure on classes)
Heres how we did it:
1. The tank started the event and pulled the BBW into one corner, while the rest of us stood in the corner
2. We waited till he casted his first LRRH, The started Dpsing him down
3. Run speed on boots helps in this fight, or Rocket boots, or Sprint/dash if you're a rogue/druid
4. When/if he LRRH's you, Start running around the Outside of arena, Sticking to the walls
5. What we found useful was, if timed correctly you can get him cought on the house cutout for a couple of seconds, giving you an advantage

We got the big bad wolf today, and wiped 3 times before downing him because he (right off the bat) turned the tank into the red riding hood and almost immediately killed him...
...imo, he really shouldn't be able to do that, but whatev.

fun boss to fight against... since im a rogue i just sprinted and he never got close to hitting me... i figured sprint over vanish because then hes not doing any dps to anyone

What do you do if the tank gets to be the girl? just stop dps? cause he's immune to taunt like all bosses, and while running, none of the tanks get to gain aggro while all the ranged dps do. We have a paladin and warrior as tanks... any suggestions on that?
