The path on the screenshot above is awesome, but I found that if you stay on the roads instead of shortcuts, you can find a BE bandit in about 3 more places, I farmed this for an hour, got 3 masks!

The bandit will ambush alliance automatically. If you are Horde(like me), you're going to have to spam the macro referred to earlier (/target blood elf bandit) Also when you use this macro, Furbolgs might be targeted by the macro, but I just ignored it. I found 4 Blood Elf Bandits this way at the following 3 locations (43,63) (35,65) (32,62). The bandits are located off to the side of the road a bit, mostly behind bushes. I've only had one respawn (rather quickly) so I'm guessing they have random spawn times. I found the mask on my 3rd kill. I've been looking for another bandit for an hour and none else have respawned. Hope this helps everyone. Enjoy.

I have spent 3 hours spamming the macro and running around hitting each of the spawn points in order, one by one, on an epic mount with carrot on a stick, and i haven't even SEEN ONE of the bandits....
I went by coords and by the pics of where to go. Now I know these are supposed to be hard to find, but this is ridiculous... I'm a ud rogue. Dwarf war to me, after that i didnt have any problems, I encourage all of you after you find him wait at least 6-7 seconds before mounting and riding away on many occasions he spawned 2 even 3 times in the same spot, had 17 kills the firs night with 2 drops for 12% had 16 kills second night with 2 drops for 13% its not hard you jus gotta take your time and pay attention take the price of this retarded crap down. I just think it's interesting - in the amount of time some people spend searching for this mask, they could have raised the 40 gold to buy it on their own (or less, if people on their realm are more reasonable) using other, more sane methods.

Yea, it does get hard, i have run into the guy mabey 15 times in about 1 and 1/2 hours, you just gotta know were to look, and all i have gotten was 2-9 copper each drop. so this is getting rediculous, but i will get it, and i wont stop until i have it lol : )

Killed the bandit 3x with my 18 Draenei Warrior, got the mask, giddy as a goblin with a new trinket, ran to the AH...average is 5g-10g :( where's my 40g?? lol
Also.../target blood elf bandit is the best way to go! Also...the respawn rate is random. I killed him, got the mask, he respawned on top of the corpse about 10 seconds later.

I wasn't even looking for this guy, he ambushed me twice, and twice he dropped the mask... Lucky, I know. The next day, he ambushed me for the third time, and for a third time he dropped the mask... So let's do the math... 3 kills, 3 masks... I've had a 100% drop rate on these things... I'm wearing one, gave one away as a gift, and have the third in my pack for the next time i hit up a Main City to put on AH. Happy Hunting :)

Some of this info has been stated already, but hopefully by placing it all in one post it'll help you.
The first thing you'll want to do is mark the locations on your map if you have the mod to do it. It made running to each spawn point easy. Start at... 27,51 then head SSE to... 32,62 then SE to... 35,65 then south to... 33,71 then along the road north then east to... 43,63 then north past Azure Watch to... *46,39 then NE to... 50,29 then north to... 52,18 then west to... 37,21 then south to... 36,32 then back to 27,51 *Note: the roaming guard will kill this one. The spawn time is very quick (15-20secs). Wait for the corpse to disappear, b/c you may get lucky and have the bandit respawn in the same location. The bandit will not despawn on his own. He has to be killed to spawn at a new location, so camping one spot for him wont work. If you have a mount the curcuit doesn't take very long. I killed him 7 times before I got the mask, but only took like 30-45mins. Very lucky by itaq, Score 0.00

I've killed at least fifteen of these guys and still no mask. Though I have friends that got them on the first kill. I'm always hopeful to get a mask, but I never do. It makes me mad. I recently found one on my Hunter when doing the Stillpine Grain quest, and it was by the water. I've only seen them on the paths. Anyway, does anyone have any tips for me to help me get a mask, or will anyone give one to me? :P

Got 2 masks on the 5th, 6th kills. 1x found in Pod Cluster 6x found at south part of road north of naga camp 1x found in Bristlelimb Village, southwesternmost camp 1x found at 3-way intersection northeast of Bristlelimb and north of naga camp 3x found on road leading north out of Exodar 1x found 3-way intersection south of Azure Watch. If alliance, a /say message in your chat log from the Bandit will alert you to being attacked. If you pay attention, you might be able to hear a stealth noise when you get close. They respawn in various places, so you could run all over the map and not find one of these bandits for HOURS. Why? Because someone else somewhere on the map could kill one, making the respawn pop up where YOU aren't LOOKING. Sucks huh?
Killed about 15 of them and got TWO masks. Had the most luck wandering around the southern part of the map along the roads. Keep in mind they don't ONLY spawn on the road paths! Someone pointed out they spawn near the Murlocs and various other places too.

The way to find him is simple.
Just create a macro that says /target Blood Elf Bandit Get an addon called MobMap, (which lets you see spawn points of almost any mob on your map) and put the location of Blood Elf Bandits on your map. Then, just go to each spot on the map marked with spawn points, and spam the macro. I did this, and I found around 15 Bandits in about an hour and got 3 masks. His spawn rate? He is randomly spawned location wise, but he has a spawn rate of about 30 seconds to a minute. I have killed a bandit, and while looting and/or screen shotting, have him respawn right on top of me. (That can suprise you. The first time it happened, I heard something attacking me, and it sounded like a rogue. I was PvP toggled, so I thought another player was attacking.) It helps to have a mount, and it helps to NOT toggle PvP. (Good luck on a PvP realm.) IF you're a hunter, keep Track Stealth or Track Humanoids on, and keep you pet passive. Nothing more aggrivating than having a pet kill it, then walking away thinking: I just KNOW he had that mask.... Lastly, be quick if you see him. As a lvl 11 Draenei warrior, just walked that path shown above, and found one right in a bush like 2-3 yards away from road, dropped both the letter and mask for me on first kill.
For all the horde out there trying to get to him, this is how i did it and I only died once, voluntarily.
1:I flew to Zoram'Gar and rode/walked along the shoreline of Darkshore 2: When Auberdine came into view, I swam to the far end of the docks and removed all my gear. 3: I proceeded to drown myself and let myself die. 4:I ran back in spirit form and waited for the boat. 5:When it got there i rezzed and hoped that I would reach my destination unharmed. And that is how you do it on the Horde! ^_^ On a side note i might like to add he almost always spawns clockwise ish if you look at the island in the shape of a clock, when you kill him let him despawn and run the other way, also, his respawn is 1min not random. 4 masks dropped so far, 1 on first kill last two on last three on last five kills. I used Unknown 2334's coordinates to put waypoints on my map. I walked along the waypoints and found him lots of times by spamming the macro.
The problem is the droprate though. It SUCKS. Don't let the 10% from Thottbot fool you, it's a harsh lie. The droprate is 1% at the very most. I kept killing them for 2 hours and only got one mask. as u see on the picture this is a very cool mask butpersonally i dont think its worth searching for.... but for u guys that think otherwise heres a little tip.... he is very often by the little bridge so far northeast u can come. he is very often northwest of odesyus landing... some of my friends thaught that he was sneaking around but he is ONLY on the same spot... if u find one spot where uve killed him u can sit there and wait for a spawn u MUST find him.... and by the way...he has 11 spawn points
iv killed him 14 times and not a single mask has dropped for me, why cant i ever be the lucky asshole who gets it on his 1st kill? anyway that idea of just sitting there and cmping a spawn point wouldnt work, for him to spawn hed have to be killed, and thats bound to happen but hes not likely to respawn on that 1 point. he doesnt spawn more often in 1 point then others, that was just chance, ud need to kill him alot of times to see a true pattern.

It says the drop rate is pretty good but i dont think so,i killed about 15 of them and not one Mask bropped from them,and it would be pretty nice for a lvl 9 to have 50g! But anyways the respawn for them is terribad.So i keep trying
