Solo'd as a 62 shadow priest. Not difficult at all - Keep shield up, use a Rank 1 Psychic Scream every time it's up (clear out all the Alphas first). Keep your DoTs and Vampiric Embrace up (took over a minute, so I had to refresh it)

61 lock on Black Dragonflight. Sent in Felguard kept dots up, eventually pulled agro onto myself because the fight took forever. Used a couple fears, didnt even get below 50% health. Not a hard fight at all.

He's found in the cave at 34,64...

I cleared the cave entrance and the Alphas that were hanging around Blacktalon the Savage.  Then I hit him with all I could while sending my pet after him (with growl OFF).  He got to me and I used Feign Death, and backed away and pummeled him again till he chaced me.  Then I kited him while my pet attacked him.  I ended up finally killing him at 17,50.

I hear he is easy for Warlocks and is probaly quite soloable with other Classes as well.  I found him to be quite easy, but I had some luck running past the worms near his cave.

I soloed him as 62 warlock.  It's a long fight, so start with immolate, corruption, and curse of doom.  After that, you will have no time for anything other than instant casts.  All your time is spent in health funnel because otherwise blacktalon will kill your pet (he hits hard and crits often).  Took me about eight tries.  Also, don't start the fight until you've let all the alphas in the cave respawn and taken them out again, because they will spawn during the fight.  Finally, don't use fear or death coil except to save your life when the pet loses aggro, because he'll run into an alpha and it'll be all over.

This is a female, you know .. says it right in the quest text. 

Anyway, I soloed her as a 61 Balance Druid.  I found it to be very easy. 

After killing the flayers in and outside the cave to make sure there would be no adds, I went in and cast Faerie Fire on her to gain aggro.  I ran out of the cave and once I reached the mouth, used Force of Nature and let my Treants grab aggro (which is why I only used Faerie Fire).  As they did that, I ran off to that little hill west of the cave.  There's usually a flayer walking on it, but I had killed it earlier.  I climbed a bit and rooted Blacktalon below.

From there, I just made sure to keep Moonfire, Insect Swarm, and Entangling Roots active - she has no ranged attacks so I only took damage if I let roots break.

Once her health was low I just finished her off with a few Starfires.

Everyone else seems to be solonig it on this page so i thought id give it a go, easy to say the least.

63 Feral Druid, i was too lazy to pull him out into the open for roots so i just cleaned out the cave before hand and took him on there. Put on a pounce, then unleashed my trinks for 334 attk boost, went crazy with shred and finished the combo point layout with a rake,(no i dont have mangle, next lvl cos iv got some resto talents) maimed, shapeshift to bear, and dragged out the looooong fight. Only had to heal up once but i kept my bash to give me a headstart :)

I just soloed this as a 60 affliction lock in substandard gear.  I cheated a bit as I cleared the cave with my 70.  I say cheated because there was one pull behind him which may have been hard to get at level.

No secrets here.  Hit a couple of your instacast dots, and then fear.  Stick your long ones on him and then rinse and repeat.  I drained my imp a couple of times and life tapped once.  I think in the whole 2 minute 50 second fight he touched me three times, and that's when the fear was resisted.  Never touched any potions, my healthstone or soulstone.

the locations are correct.  I just cleared the cave to him, pulled with water elemental, kited him outside when elemental died, and took a right along the mountain as I exited the cave.  frostbolt fireblast run repeat until dead.  I needed a superior mana pot and my mana gem too.

as a holy pally, I had a very hard time getting her down to 50% in OL greens and blues.

Easy done with retri paladin with crap gear at 62. BUt even though i used both bubbles :D so it was a long fight.

No green loot :( but some exp... and the quest done

Slapped on recklessness to begin with, and about half way through I intimidating shout'd and bandaged. Got her down to 800 health...if I'd had a healing potion on hand I would've had 'er.

But, I suppose they're called group quests for a reason.

I tried to solo as a 62 frost mage, and it isn't happening. This is as of 8-7-07. He was a 63 elite pop.

druid 61 (me) killed it, feral combat with clearcasting, rush in bear, when ur 20% barkskin + regrowth+Rejuv, innervate (ull be almost oom if u have feral only gear), bear again, mangle mangle maul, frenzied regeneration, 20%, heals again, then tank in bear and kill him.

60 mage solo with add :P

Kited to death with a lv61 hunter didnt pop any long cooldowns.. just get a bit of agro on the pet and keep him on passive (so you can feign and drink when the guy is frozen).. kite the guy till ur freeze trap is up, use scattershot when possible, and concussive shot as nessasary.. took about 5min and i ended up shacking from the difficulty lol

Soloed on a lvl 61 hunter with only hellfire quests and hellfire ramparts gear.
newly tamed ravager to tank it with only bite rank 6, gore rank 6 and cobra reflexes skills. nothing else as he wasnt loyal enough yet..

just healed my pet and blow cooldowns and he was down faster then you can say PEANUTBUTTERJELLYTIME.

Respawn rate on her is fairly fast.
as i ran out of cave after killing her i met a ally party that just had time to kill one alpha and then she respawned.

Respawnrate. max 5 minutes.

i killed him lvl 60 mage like 5minutes ago and he was pretty hard but he barely took any of my health taken and if ur a frost mage use ur water elemental

Just fought her with a 62 MM hunter with Hellfire quest greens on.

INSANE hp!  4 minutes and she was only down halfway.  Either this mob has been buffed or a lot of people are lying on these comments.

I could not solo as a level 64 rogue....not yet anyway.  I barely got blacktalon past 40% health.  The fight started off really well and then it went downhill fast.  Using a major healing and evasion really didn't help me much.

61 Lock, must have been an update to make this guy tougher, this guy isn't solo able, took my felguard in there and did the folowing
1. amplify curse
2. Curse of agony
3. Sent felguard in with stun
4. Curruption
5. Immolation
6. Shadow Bolt

By this time i noticed my felguard who has good of armor and hp was already half way down, did health funnel to give em some more health

Noticed my felguard was almost dead, kept health funneling to try to keep em alive, but he died in less than a minute, the elite still had 70% of health at this time.

Couldn't do it as a 62 holy priest. I barely got her down to 60% health. I'll either try again in a couple of levels or find a drood friend. :)

Andorhal, very unpopular realm but for whatever reason i see alot of people crawling around. And since you make excellent money anyway you can ask them to help you or bribe them with a few gold you got off that ONE ques two seconds ago. Lol i don't know this guy was sitting right next to me and we set off in a heartbeat and very very simply beat this guy in around 40 sec. He was a feral druid i was a beast mastery hunter, both 61. Pet needed healing from me and him but it still worked out fine my pet lived and we both rode off to finish.

On an unrelated note please remember to keep up eatin' them taters. They good for a lil' feller like you.

Pretty tough initally as a 62 demo lock.  But once I knew what to do, it was easy.  Brought out my felguard, dotted him up (immo, corrup, and CoA) and then just had my felguard tank.  I have improved health funnel so I basically just kept my felguard healed and tanking and refreshed the dots whenever they went out.  Took a while, but no real close calls.

Just solo'd this quest as a lvl 61 frost mage in normal outlands gear. Just had to keep my elemental up and cold snap for another one when the first died. Icy veins combined with frostbite really kept him frozen in place for most of the battle so it wasn't too tough. Just make sure to clear the area around him first.

Soloed lvl 60 Warlock, this guy has been sure buffed since some of the latest patches, I remember 2 manning him with my Rogue and he was much easier with much less hp. Took about 15 fears :/

As mentioned above, be sure to wait for the Alpha respawns to kill them and immediatly pull the elite after u rest cause they have a fairly quick respawn time.

Soloed as a 61 BM hunter. Just send pet in and mend pet, after a while your pet gets low so take aggro using distracting shot and let it smack you until you get about 50% and drop a freezing trap, bandage you and your pet to save mana and repeat.

Soloed 59 resto shaman.

Solo'd as a level 61 frost mage w/out guards help, potions, mana ruby, etc.

The thing is, I crit about 5 times in a row for about 2k. I popped my trinkets which gave me about +150 spell damage for about 13 secs, used freeze from pet to keep him frozen and got lucky with criting him over and over for 2k a piece. He was dead in about 15 seconds, pretty easy and I wasn't touched once and I controlled him with frost nova. This is definitely solo-able as a level 61 frost mage (as long as you have good gear/know what you're doing) =] Hope that helps.

Solo'd him as a 65 Aff lock, but I know I could have done this at like 60. Just kill the two adds in the cave area that are semi near him, DoT him, and keep reapplying Fear through Shadow Bolts.

Not hard at all.
