The guild that I am in consistantly does this dragon with between 15 and 20 people in the raid. Our tanks is geared to the teeth with the best NR plate we can find.
Most of the damage that the tank takes is from those dots stacking to hell and back. With 300 buffed Nr (prolly more but thats not the point) we get a maximum of 2 or very rarely 3 of those dots on him.
From a priest's point of view I thihnk this boss is easier with fewer people (25 is prolly my favorite) because there are less people to heal, and while it takes longer, people tend to focus more in small groups, and there is just all in all fewer people to make those damn mushrooms.
oh yeah, and horde interfearance = the dragon does not die at all.
