Took him down drain tanking him, really my only option as Affliction spec. Used a void at first just to get the 1st set of DoTs on him unscathed. Then sac'd the void and kept DoTs loaded + drain til he died. Not too bad but he does hit a bit hard to be tanking as cloth! I did use all consumables I had spare. Sta food, Adept's Elixir, Brilliant Wizard Oil, Healthstone, and a Super Healing Potion.

This seems to be pretty much impossible for a frost mage to solo... I've tried it every level 62-66 and have died really fast every time. Seems to be immune to a lot (Frost Nova especially.)

Nobody mentioned that you have to go kill Trachelas every time you fail an attempt to go get a new carcass... it disappears when you summon him.

Unsoloable as a 65 subtly rogue. Got him down to 20% using all cool downs and trinkets before I had to vanish. He is immune to blind btw. Will try again at lvl 66.

unfortunatly for warriors, this isnt all that soloable, but if your level 70 and u use recklessness, its totally soloable

Solo'd fairly easily as a demonology lock.  Just sent in felguard, poped on curse of weakness, immolate, and corruption, then healed pet...repeated until torgos was dead.

if you cant tank or damage a 4000 in solo and cant take him down or his mate i recommended inviting at least another person that has dps or tank or healing

Long, but safe soloing for level 65 protection paladin. Just drain-tanked him healing when needed. He hits just a bit harder, than your drain with seal + judgment of light. Stun him every minute and heal, in 3 minutes he will be down. :)

i doubt it is soloable for rogue at this level

Soloed with a 68 warrior... went in with full rage and needed recklessness and it was damn close.

Had a pet ravager used intimidation to start with to build some aggro then blew all cooldowns (Rapid fire, Bestial Wrath and trinkets), continued to mend pet and Torgos eventually started to come for me so I ran back a few paces and feigned as he hit me (which allowed my pet to heal a bit) and killed him with full health and my pet at 1.1k. Easier than i thought it would be, definately doable as a BM hunter

as a lvl 63 feral druid in my cat form, he annhilated me and to make matters worse, another mob came into the fight.

My suggestion is to get a good group,then clear the mobs out before summoning.

I soloed him at lvl 65 with my feral drood plus got aggro from a spirit raven during fight, killed them both lolz. used cat form 1st maimed him with 5pts, hots and lifebloom then tanked them both down using frenzied regen.

Soloed as 65 Affliction Warlock, Outlands Quest gear. Took VW out, used CoW Corruption and wanded it till I got aggro, then used full dots on it, VW Sac'ed and drain tanked. Used an HS too, wasn't really hard but u need to be careful.

64 Sub Rogue... got my ass handed to me. Sounds like some 64-66 were able to solo it but I wouldn't waste the time trying. Take a friend and it will save you some time.

When i first read this guidelines i thought he was going to be hard but then i tried to solo it and did fine with 65 hunter, i usually use my pet to aggro and then i attack....use healing on my pet about 3 times and he was good, so u can kill it alone without any help, as long as you have a healing potion...with you you should be fine.....

solo'd by poorly geared 63 warlock. 5.2k hp, 5.9k mana.  41 / 2 / 11 spec.

tanked with void for a littel bit, then dotted.

used a heal potion and healthstone. sacced the void then life drained thru the damage. ended with about 20% life on me.

66 lock, just solo'd him.

Kinda iffy. I used my void and tanked him to get the dots up, once I pulled aggro I sacrificed my void and used my amplify curse for CoD. Then I just drained life, deathcoiled, and potted to keep my health up. Deathcoil didn't fear him of course, but it saved me from death. Just be smart about it, it's not too bad.

EASY 65 elite with a 66 prot warrior and a 67 haling priest not hard but NO WAY a pally could hav soloed this shit

Level 64 Retri paladin just soloed him..
Used my bubble and lay on hands.. but otherwise he was pretty easy to kill.

25July2008 solo'd easily as 66 BM hunter with 65 boar.

No kiting required, just popped beastial wrath, rapid killing and FD once to drop aggro.  He's been nerfed

8.4k Health/6.2k Mana/540 Spelldamage (At the time of the quest)

Standard affair, killed the mate for the carcass drop, then went over to Vale Rhaize and cleared everything in a reasonable radius around Torgos' Bane.  Buffed and medded, summoned.

Fairly straightforward, sent Felguard in immediately after Torgos was targetable, triple DoT (CoA, Corr, Immo), Lifetap, Drain Life, Funnel after Felguard was down a couple thousand health.  Pretty much rinse and repeat.  Felguard lost aggro once for about 7-10 seconds, but that's about it.  Ended with 50% health each, no cooldowns or consumables used.

Solo'd as a 66 Rogue. Used Evasion and by the time that had ended he was down to about half hp. Didn't have to use a potion. Easy elite. Probably been nerfed.

Wow... this had to be the eaisest solo for a BM hunter, simple pull really, soon as you place the body back up. send your pet in with intimadation to build threat. then pop all cooldowns you got and continue to mend your pet and he will be dead as a door nail in 30seconds ^^

this guy was nerfed so he's easy to solo now

was a realy easy kill i solo him with unholy DK i didn't use the best equip just the DK and the outland quest equip and i just get 1time to the 4k(i have 6.8k)health and he killed my pet  exepct that i killed him really he got 18k health and i was under the bless of auchindon

I just soloed this as a lvl 65 Death Knight and finished with an almost full health bar.  No potions or anything! Just remember to clear all the trash mobs all around the scarecrow before summoning Torgos.

I just soloed him EASILY as a 67 fury warrior. Not even geared particularly well, just have all green Outlands Plate gear with str, agi, and stam.

i have about 8503 hp, had 2703 when fight was over

soloed as 64 ele shaman. used all totems and cd's as well as a bunch of heals but its doable

Very, very weak for an elite.

Mages cant solo this.

You cant snare him and he hits for alot on cloth.

Soloed as a 64 Sub. rogue! Vanished after he attacked me, Ambushed, two Sinister Strikes, Rupture, Hemorrhage, Sinister Strike, Sinister Strike, Eviscerate, Shadow Dance, Shadowstep, Ambush. Dead.

I just soled him as a demonology warlock lvl 64.

I sent in my felguard and placed my dots on him. After that I used  health funnel to get the felguards life up to max and after that just dot again.

I didn't use any healthstones or healing potions and i was at full health at the end of the fight.

However! ... I think it must have been nerfed after the patch because he was in fact extremely easy even though it's still recommended to be 2 players in the questlog.

I agree that he was probably nerfed. Took him down with a 65 DK no problem, along with other stupid ravens I aggroed whilst fighting Torgos.

killed by 64 sub rogue with 800 health left I had to used as many stuns as possible and I did evasion prep evasion and killed him
