Ok- so I read all the post on where this cat was. It was a bit confusing. So here is the uber easy breakdown:
First he is not guarded by any horde as mentioned in previous posts. Unless you are flagged you have nothing to worry about.
Second if you are still a 23 a friend may be helpful to pick off the other mobs so you can tame him faster, just in case there is someone looking to do the same thing.
From the dock at Rachet there is a road leading out to your left. Run that way. There will be a large tree on your right(still technically in Rachet-
Turn right at the tree and there will be a trail that leads you up and over the hill. Be careful- there will be 2 scytheclaws very close.
Not that they are too big (17 or 16) but they can be a surprise if you aggro them both.
When you get to the top of of the hill look to your right. There is a tree near the far edge of the plateau you are now standing on. That is his tree.
Kill the raptors and stray hyenas. There will be 3 sets of matriarchs/cubs. Kill them too- very carefully as one set gets pretty close to him.
I actually made a new bar with the tools I needed for ease-
Wait till he lays down- freeze trap, scorpid/serpent sting (if you dont have scorpid yet) conc shot. POOF frozen kitty. Then Tame!
It is true by the time he unfreezes he gets only 2 or 3 pansy shots at you and your done. Be prepared- HE ATE AT LEAST 20 pieces of food before he was green.
