1. you have to be lvl 23
2.fly to ratchet, head towards xr on the road but go right as soon as you can get over the hills.
stay on the hills and follow them basically back to ratchet(so you are on the northern cliff above ratchet), when they start to turn northward youll see a tree at the end(corner) of the platue.
this tree has a VERY big shadow.
3. there are generally 3 pairs of matriarks/cubs and a couple of patriarks under this tree. and if youre lucky humar will be there too.
4. if your not then go to the end of the platue so you can see the entire shadow of the tree but arent in danger of getting attacked by mobs(which should be easy since they are lvl 16ish and you are AT LEAST lv 23.
5. wait... he will come eventually
on the Bloodhoof server he spawned at 4:45 am gt right b4 the server update, and thats when i caught him. However he did reappear after the restart 15 mins l8r, which leads me to believe he spawns with the server updates ASWELL as 3 times a day.
Notes: ok it seems like 3 times a day is a long time to wait for a spawn, dont get discouraged just set your hunter in that spot and do your laundry or something you where stalling to do after you where done with wow:) OR go play an alt and when you get to pausing points log back on your hunter andsee if he is there. He is AMAZING looking and a must have for any hunter who has pride in his/her pet as he is the ONLY black lion in the ENTIRE game. My pets are, Humar the Pridelord, a Ghost Stalker from darkshore(transulcent), and Naraxis the red elete spider.
Humar is definally the funnest to play with.
