THIS IS THE REAL WORLD OF WARCRAFT LORE
It all started with that the great god, Sargeras, gave three creatures in the World of Warcraft as good as unlimited power. Velen the Prophet, who denied the power,
Archimonde, and another guy wich i dont quite remember the name of, who let a human female "kill" him, and therefore posessing her son, Medivh. Archimonde was killed by Illidans brother, Melfurion Stormrage with help of the world tree Nordrassil and a thousand wisps because he corrupted the world tree.
Kil'jaeden created the burning legion, a vast army of demons and was later banished from the world by the Kirin'tor archmages and the leader of the Kirin'tor, Lothar. And during this, Illidan wanted to kill some demon but Melfurion wouldnt let him. But illidan was a stubborn bitch and did it anyway. And thats Melfurions reason for imprisoning him for ten thousand years, hes almost as evil as my brother.
From that world, he possesed the great spiritual orc shaman named Ner'zhul, by that time the great leader of the orcs. He incased him in ice and through him spoke to arthas, who obeyed Ner'zhul's, or should i say Kil'Jaeden's wishes and applying the plague to the Nerubian king, making him serve to his purposes and made him show him the ancient nerubian tunnels that led to the peak where the frozen throne was, ultimately he came to the Frozen Throne where Ner'zhul was imprisoned. He shattered the ice tomb wich Ner'zhul was imprisoned in and then put on Ner'zhul's helm, fusing himself with the spirit of Ner'zhul.
Then, the Lich King was formed. But Kil'jaeden saw that the Lich King's power was gaining too strong and that he was out of control, he send the demon hunter Illidan Stormrage (Who now finally was out of jail) to destroy the Lich King. But Illidan failed on his quest, therefore pissing off Kil'jaeden greatly. Kil'jaeden sent out several of his minions to destroy Illidan and the Lich King, but all attempts failed. Together with the lich Kel'thuzad and a powerful dreadlord, the Lich King created an plague, therefore forming a terrible army of undead, wich they named The Scourge, as it certainly would scour the human race from the face of earth. The blood elf ranger general named Sylvanas Windrunner also was corrupted by the plague but she didnt become a mindless zombie like the rest of her companions, she became an undead but she had an own mind, and that she used to free others of her kin from becoming mindless ghouls. Ultimately The Forsaken was formed, a group of undead whichs goal was to destroy Arthas, the Lich King.
Now, as you in World of Warcraft kill C'thun and Ragnaros, you kill Kael'Thas Sunstrider, Medivh, Illidan Stormrage and banish Kil'jaeden in World of Warcraft - The Burning Crusade, you will in Wrath of the Lich King kill Arthas, and destroy the Aspect of the Blue Dragonflight wich was possesed by Arthas, and after that, the expansion The Emerald Nightmare will be released, featuring the spirits of Sargeras and Cenarius wich you will have to kill. Then there will be a patch, The Maelstroms Fury featuring the rise of the Naga queen Azhara wich you will have to PWN FUCKING SHITLESS! And i cant predict the future any further than that!
