Well, looking at set bonuses, you could say this set actually encourages Shock and SS spammage. I wouldn't say mp5 is bad at all, because even with a high AP Shamanistic Rage isn't a full mana bar, and there will be times where that mana will come in handy.

All in all, a good item, and an improvement over T5... so why complain? :)

I play an Enhancement Shaman and mana per anything is irrelevant; I practice conserving mana heavily and it works out well for me. Shamanistic Rage plus, Grace of Air totem and Strength of Earth totem, a couple of good trinkets (I use Bloodlust Brooch and Hourglass of the Unraveler) procced with Unleashed Rage easily gives me roughly just below 3000 attack power. With all those going,  I regen a full 8000ish mana bar back with time on SR left over on fights such as Magtheridon and Morogrim Tidewalker where the fights are 10min+. All I do is once I get down to 2000 mana, pop SR with my trinkets, chill out on heavy dps, get a full mana bar, DPS heavily some more until I'm back to 2000 mana, by that time the trinkets and SR cool down are a few seconds from being finished, rinse and repeat. Forever mana. GG. I regen 450 mana per tick ... that puny 5 mana per second is so small its insignificant. Enhancement Shamans are not like other mana classes where mana regen has to be stacked on; SR rules it out. Blizz could remove all mana regen stats from Enhancement Shaman gear (which they should) and we would still not have a mana regen problem due to SR.
