Confirmed...
Soloed as a 64 rogue. If you do the ramp to auch trick it works well...the big guy stops where the stone starts and the bone filled dirt ends, and if you go down the first ramp you can keep hitting him with your ranged weap and run behind the wall when he starts to cast poision. Thus avoiding damage and keeping him engaged.
