Does anyone know how much armour a high end raid boss has? will this ignore a substantial amount or be a drop in the ocean?

Im a hunter and i am going to say that a hunter doesnt need this. A good hunter needs a + agility and +stamina weapon with attack power mods. A good hunter doesnt let the target get in close enough to use a weapon. Even survival hunters shouldnt be in melee all the time. survival is just specced for the possibility of a melee encounter.

The classess that I feel would get the most use out of this are Arms Warriors and Ret Paladins.  Yes, I said ret pallies as well.  I know that everybody keeps saying all pallies should go holy, but frankly, I don't give a shit what those people think.  These 2 types get the best out of this sword, followed by the other warrior types, and hunters bringing up the rear.
And the reason a ret pally can use it so well is because they can inc the dmg by 42.46 at it's min and 63.8 at it's max dmg.  Also if they have vengeance and get 3 crits fast enough, for 15 secs, or longer if they get another crit, it increases the dmg by 100.36 at it's min and 150.8 at it's max.  Finally, with Avenging Wrath as well, min inc by 216.16 and max by 324.8.  Of course it only goes that high with Humanoids, Dragonkin, Undead, Demons, and Elementals.  This is not including any AP boost from strength, which is most likely the same as warriors.  Now, who said pallies can't DPS with these boosts?
BTW, if you want to know how it was figured, put 3 points in 2h Specialization(6% inc, 3 in Crusade (3% in both holy and melee against previously mentioned types), and 2 in improved Sanctity Aura(2%).  Vengeance does 5% per every crit, melee or spell, made in 15 secs between each, stacks 3 times.

Heres what it looks like.

This is obviously a Hunter Weapon because of 3 reasons.

1) It's a Weapon that a Hunter can use. Even if I couldn't use it, I'm a Hunter.


2) It will look cool on my back while I'm using a bow or gun to shoot mobs.


3) My parents never told me that they loved me... so I need this weapon as a self esteem boost.

It's nice to look at but as a hunter I wouldn't touch it. It doesn't have anything appealing to my class. Kool sword for all you pallies and warriors though. Right on. I'll shoot the arrows over your shoulder while you hack them to death with this puppy.

this is a hunter's weapon.  if blizzard dint intend for a hunter to get it, they would have not allowed a hunter to equip it.  it would really look good on my back once i get my epic mount someday.  i seem to melee alot so i need the strength.  i wish i could equip it on my pet.  would be really cool to see my tiger run to someone and tehn pwne them with a sword.  i cant wait until i hit 60.  hunter 4 life!!!  gotta go, my mom is calling me.

um there are  ret pallys end game i am and i have this swrd and i am always 1,2,or 3 on the damage charts and dont say that my raids suck that a pally can get the most dps

I'm going to start rolling on ranged weapons for their stats out of spite to hunters who roll on melee weapons for their stats.

Boy, wolfslayer sniper rifle sure looks cool when I bring it out once each fight to pull, muahaha.

If i were a hunter id need this weapon because it would look 'cool' on my back, Plus just incase my Feign death skill which i have assigned to 10 keys is still on cooldown perhaps i could hit the mob with it instead of just running away.

this weapon is bad ass and the only bad ass classes out there are warriors and paladins, maybe druids, but they cant equip.  anywho, it doesnt belong to those snot nosed "ranged" fighters like hunters who make animals fight for them or mages shooting ice cubes.  it belongs to the few, the proud, the plate class 

if hunters want this all raids should kick them because they should have legacy and then the polearm that drops in BT.


My personal opinion is that this is for ret paladins because dps warriors should be fury in raids anyways. But A SINGLE ARMS WARRIOR IN RAID is fine too.

Ok, here's what you do:
1.) Be a Warrior
2.) Spec Arms
3.) Max Sword Specialization (5% chance to get an extra attack)
4.) Get Cataclysm's Edge
5.) Get Executioner Enchant
6.) Sunder Armor Like Crazy
And Presto, You Now Ignore 3775 Armor. Now Go Kill Stuff.

I just had to make an account when I heard all the retards posting in this section about the best DPS sword for Warriors and Ret Pallies outside of Sunwell. First off all hunters who would ever think of rolling on this should drop dead. Second of all Ret pallies can put out very good DPS if the guy playing them isn't retarted. Thirdly Prot pallies are the best AoE tanks in-game so yes they can tank. And finally gratz to any warrior or Ret pally who gets this because you will most likely be topping the damage meters after you equip this bad boy.

lets say huntradins want thisfor the look... yes u can have it. but only after all warriors have lootedit before you :D

If a hunter stole this weapon from a warrior or a pally, i would slap them silly.

The only way that a hunter would able to get this weapon is, if no one rolled on it.

Pulse the the fact hunters do not need str.
they need Agility, stam.

It stacks with executioner.... the huntard comments are not funny anymore, get a clue.

Anyways, i really envy any warriors + ret that have picked this weapon up, i always end up bringing either my drood or pally for Archimonde, and always sitting my warrior out.

It's a beautiful sword with killer stats
