Everyone should be over the myth that hunters are weapon hogs "Hunter item", in fact if anything everyone else has hogged all melee weapons, and usually tell hunters not to roll, or “Anyone that can use that item may roll on it”.

I'm fed up with warrior/rogues/pallys not understanding, that while this item might be good for you, because all you do is use it for the damage. It might help your guild or the party out, to start letting hunters get items (that they might only use 20% of the time) but will significantly boost their dps.

You know how long a hunter has their melee weapons? I can tell you, it’s probably 5-10 times longer (sometimes longer) then a warrior or rogue will. You are constantly getting new and better upgraded melee weapons. While a hunter is usually passed over for any weapon that isn’t ranged (because hunters don't melee), is just wrong.

While I understand the logic behind your view of a hunter not using it as often, hence they don’t deserve it. It’s just not the case. While it is true, we don’t have to melee 0.1% as much as you might, it adds to our RaP, Crit %, and Hit % and it's the same logic. While melee weapons are almost like trinkets to us, they are still a very valuable piece of what makes us good hunters. Try using a damage chart, and you’ll see how valuable a good hunter is in a raid/party.

    That’s my 2 cents

First, this is the perfect hunter weapon.  Second, Hunters ARE weapons greedy bastards.

This post is faded because it has a negative score.

Every single class in the game is filled to the brim with greedy bastards, hunters just take the rap because a bad running joke got made out of ours.

uhm, sure, but if someone in the raid has to go without a significant melee weapon upgrade, would you pick the rogue or the hunter?

i agree with what you're saying, i just think you're generalising too much. hunters go without melee weapons longer, sure, but isn't that because most of the melee weapon drops are designed more for melee classes and at the end of the day you probably don't need a new melee weapon as much as they do?

because of course when a melee weapon goes to a hunter over a melee class, one important stat remains largely unused and not taken advantage of. the dps.

i'm not saying you don't need new weapons. ofc you do. but often you may not need them as much as the melee classes do because they'll be getting greater bonuses courtesy of the increase in dps.

that's why hunters don't always get equal rights on melee weapons, not simply because they don't use it as much, but because the melee are getting greater dps bonuses from the new weapon because they're using it more. and in all honesty, i think that in many cases that sidelining hunters on melee weapons for the reason given above is appropriate.
