Kiting is aggroing a mob and then running away from them, having them chase you. You run away in front of it, having the mob trail you like a kite on a string. Keeping aggro is paramount, of course, or the mob will simply leave combat after a while and run back to its original spot, meaning your kiting wil have failed. This is where the famous jump-shooting comes in. And no, I cba to exlpain THAT, too. :p
